In south Asia, it’s actually common to add lentils and rice to make porridge, it’s called “kichuri” sorta of a south Asian version of congee :)

Breville makes a great panini press. The cleanup is so quick and easy. I just wet a couple of paper towels and place on the hot plates of the press, and close the lid. When the paper cools down, wipe up the plates.

My favorite sandwich of all time is a ttla! I do like wraps but nothing's better than toasted ciabatta for my ttla. I buy regular tempeh, thinly slice it & pan fry in soy sauce & liquid smoke. I add some garlic powder & a sprinkle of fresh lemon juice to the mayo for my take on a lazy garlic aioli & also add some sliced pickle. So delicious!

Call your local grocery stores, ask for a manager and ask them to order you what you want. If you have the exact names it makes it very easy for them. I have been doing this for years, they’re always willing to order things. And it helps your community because others will have access to vegan options too. Win

I'll be honest... I hate tempeh. Ive been trying so hard to enjoy it in something, but every time its included in a dish, it brings it down and ruins it. Ive tried flavoring it a million different ways and everytime its bad. I think its the texture and tempeh aftertaste that I cant stand. So... Ive given up on it. I'll stick to Seitan and Tofu.
