I went to Eataly and one half of a sandwich was 12.90 (Century City) so, a whole sandwich for around the same price is a much better value. I have to grab some friends and head there. I never heard of this place! Thanks for turning me on to it!

As a fellow Airline employee, Flight attendant with Continental Airlines I was very touched by Bill’s words about McDonnell Douglas. Back in the 1970s we flew the DC-10 and it was an amazing plane to fly! Thank you for those heartfelt words and memories of an industry pre regulation, the good old days!

I was on the DC-9 line, but right next door is where the DC-10 (MD11) were built. The size of those planes blew me away every time I went over to look at them. One of my good friend's mom worked for Continental out of LAX back in the 80's. Good old days indeed!

This was such a heartwarming vid to watch. Its not surprising that Bill is so humble and grateful of the opportunities and lifestyle that the airplane industry has given he and his wonderful family. I feel the same for my career in healthcare. Despite its faults and criticism i am grateful every day for the comforts and lifestyle it has afforded me. Many blessings to you both for a happy holiday weekend ! Please do visit Canada soon. Toronto, Montreal or the maritimes. Food and cultural adventures for sure.

I obviously watch your videos for the food content, but what really got me today was how much the history of the hanger meant to Bill. The career path it started him in and how it helped him become who he is today both professionally and personally. It was really real to see him get choked up about it.

Good to see you went to LBX! Just 2 miles down Lakewood Blvd from me! I'm still exploring the options there. So far, every time I've gone, the food has been great. If you can make time to hit The Source in Buena Park for a Korean food adventure...😁

Supposedly, the historic, McD's in Downey is the only place that still fries the pies. Last trip to that location for me, was 2019. They still had them back then. Corner of Florence and Lakewood if you want to go. They also have a small museum on site.

Please check this place out, lots of great eats and history here. All the KC10's (Military version of the DC-10) used by the Air Force all were built here.

Being grateful is a great attribute Bill. More of us NEED to practice it myself included. The plate from Doner G and the chicken sandwich were my favorites 😍

That was a great food haul video. Bill you were so authentic in remembering the good ole days. I am still fascinated with planes as my Dad used to take us to the Ottawa airport to watch landing & takeoffs. He had special access to a viewing platform as he made the routes/ charts for the control tower as well as the paper charts for Pilots in case they needed them. Great memories ❤✈️🇨🇦

Great video Bill and Lisa. I’ve actually been to LBX once. I went there Spring 2022. The Bulgogi burrito was awesome. Looks like you tried a lot of good stuff as well. I agree it’s a nice little area to shop and eat. Hope to make my way there again this year.

Sorry Debbie. lol. It hit me in the feels thinking about my start in aviation and working there for so many years, and it's no longer there. It's sad, but we must all move forward to new adventures. Yes, that porchetta sandwich was delicious!

The Porchetta from The Kroft is my favorite!!! We would go to the Packing House to get it, but this one in Long Beach is closer to us. I gotta go here one of these weekends!!! Excellent video. Loved that you went slowly to each of the food stalls so we can get a look at what they were selling!!!
