I don’t think that’s a good argument. The Church tells us not to record priesthood ordinances for a reason. It’s disrespectful to the spirit involved.

Most churches don’t really care about recording, and I agree there’s nothing really wrong with it, but in the church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, they ask you to not record, it’s mostly because it can be distracting to others, they ask you not to do it so you probably shouldn’t.

Not really, I was raised Catholic and its practically tradition to record your baptism. The reason these people don’t want it filmed is because they are a cult and don’t want people to know what their procedures are. They even steal deceased people’s names just to baptize them as Mormon. They did it to many holocaust victims and even today buy dead people’s information for this purpose while they have a 13-18 (I think it might be to 19) year old stand in place of the deceased. The missionaries are often called to be 'witnesses' and part of that duty is to verify that the correct wording was used in the baptism prayer. The Sister Missionary in this video likely had the prayer pulled up on her phone and followed along to make sure it was correct. The other part, as you mentioned is to make sure they see the complete submersion take place otherwise it needs to be done again.

@jacobwalsh7043 I assumed you came at me with a hard headed Protestant approach. When Jesus commands us to be baptized in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit..it says just that. Once you are baptized, you have recieved the holy spirit. Meaning if you get baptized again or "born again" as the Baptist and more modern/liberal Protestants say, you're just dipping yourself in water and it's no a sanctified event. The Protestants that believe baptism is symbolic and a confirmation of the faith (mostly baptists) don't believe baptism saves you. On the other hand every other Christian (most actually) allow infant baptism, and believe baptism saves you..which is true because that's how you recieve God's saving grace.

In our church you can wear whatever you want until the baptism as long as it’s modest, it is best to wear dress/suit but anything really works, then when it comes time to do the baptism we always wear a special uniform when doing baptisms it’s basically a white jumpsuit and after you can change back into whatever you had on before😄 hope this helped! god bless you.
