Howdy! 🤠 Great video, lots of information. 👌 I’m looking into getting a caravan and towing with my T60. Just a couple of questions if I could. Where did you get the full length rear mudflap from? I couldn’t hear if you spoke about it.. are you towing leaving it in auto or are you using manual mode to control the gear selection?

Hi Dicey. Mudflat is home made. 4mm insertion rubber, 25mm square tube, 35mm stainless bolts with large flat washers, 2 35mm eye bolts, 2 80mm eye bolts, 2 small shackles. I leave it in auto and 4wd auto and change between eco and pwr depending on the terrain and wind. Pwr is a bit more uneconomical but the Ute is easier to drive.

The intercooler on these is water to air, so the second fan might be for a radiator to cool the intercooler coolant.

@cameronmartin931 Thanks for the comment. After more thought I think it's to help cool the DPF during burn offs

Thanks Jim. Be wary of the Luxe's reduced rear axle capacity 1540 kgs as against the Pro 1690kgs. That is a sticking point as it virtually rules out having a heavy drawer and canopy set up.

Do you use a throttle controller

No. I haven't bothered with that. Under normal conditions it's fine. Only a problem now and again in stop start traffic.

Do you find the temp. Gauge varies by much. The 2.8 model I used to own would vary by quite a lot.

Do you use an OBD2 reader to monitor your transmission temp? I tow my boat manually 1-6 and not 7&8. 2500rpm 6th 90kmh trans temp sits on 89⁰C all day. I used to tow in drive with my Holden Adventra but cooked the transmission in 5 years. I'm hoping the T60max will last much longer.

Hi sailingcitrine. Thanks for your interest. I rather hope that the ZF auto is a bit better than in the Adventurer. I did look up to see what other vehicles are using this gearbox and found that it's use is widespread over a broad horsepower range. It's been around for quite a while now so fingers crossed. OBD2 have as far as I know not got an application for the T60 yet.

At what km's did you start towing

Hi Jim. I can't remember exactly, but it was fairly soon after the recommended minimum. I haven't towed in any hot weather yet, but day to day city during this last week in Perth it has been 36C plus there has been no change on the gauge

8000kms mainly towing. No issues as yet.

@greenie_the_detailer2499 Be careful when choosing between Luxe and Pro. The Pro has a better rear axle capacity but the Luxe has better equipment levels.

@bonkers5011 I won't be towing or carrying heavy weight in it mate 💪 but the price at the time will decipher which way I go thanks
