Reminds me of when I tried the free week on Star Citizen. They really got away with a lot by labelling it 'early access' at the last minute :p

I did have problems in the first hour, with very very slow menus before racing, and I "fixed" it by setting vsync on in NVIDIA control panel, and it does not matter the setting ingame. Apart from that, everything went really smooth. All my peripherals were recognized, and it runs really well in any track with very rare fps drops. I have lost FFB once, easily solved by pressing the assigned reset ffb button. Awesome physics and FFB, great sounds, great graphics. My only problem is that I cannot race against all 3 classes at the same time (offline mode), or else I have only around 20fps! But maybe it is because of my cpu, I have not dug on it yet. I have a very modest setup: i7 8700k, rtx 2070 super, moza r9. Maybe I am one of those lucky basterds, and you are one of those unlucky ones! :) And congrats Cody, this video is a clear evolution from the previous one, you are getting there, keep it up mate ;)

Hmm, what is your internet connection? I'm running Windows 11 home, an RTX 3080 with 12th Gen Intel Core i7-12700K, and 32 gigs of DDR5 with no problems. I have frozen up a few times and the Ai always seems to boot me off the track but the racing is fluid. I'm sorry to hear you're having such trouble.

Admittedly, I have a high end PC, 4090, I9 13900k, 64gb ram but I must say, I have no issues with they way the game looks and runs. Seems like a great sim so far, and it's all I have been running since it came out. So of the load times are long but I can live with it. Online, I occasionally get the wrong car at load in practice, but it syncs up after I return to the pits. After that the races are flawless.

I have almost zero issues now. Running everything on high rather than ultra per advice for now (fixes fps and stuttering issues for now). As for FFB I checked my TM control panel before loading as it defaulted to 6%. If get issues with FFB in game F10 resets it (had none since). Menu also resolved by turning on vsync (video) for now. I get rare CTD but I mean 3 this week in 10 hours of 1-2 hour sessions.

I did 7 or 8 races online without any issues, even did a 2.4 hour at Le Mans yesterday. It seems very divided, a lot of people experience a lot of the same issues, and a lot that hardly experience any issues. Loading isn't that long, but i have it on a fast m.2 drive, which might make a difference. I don't mind that it has bugs, i play a lot of ams2, so i am used to a lot....lol

Not sure whats up with your system. Runs fine on a GTX3060, 10700KF and 32gb ram. rF2 is CPU resource intensive processing the physics and AI, so LMU will be the same.

I have been playing every night since launch and I have no issues with either graphics or wheel. But, I have a low end wheel (tmx) and my computer is older, so I only have set to High and then a couple things like shadows set to low. Personally, and just one random person's opinion, it has been extremely fun, especially online but offline as well. I am a huge fan of rF2, so likely I am biased, I guess!

I hear that system ram needs to be more than the 16 gigs that are recommended. I have 32 and have very little performance issues.

Game just isnt stable enough and for whatever reason my FFB doesnt even provide feedback on flatspots despite running default FFB. Honestly seeing how others drive vs me driving it feels like I'm playing a different game than them.

I’m playing this game on a gaming laptop. I had some issues with the game freezing and some poor performances in single player, once I updated the G force drivers, everything was fixed. I know I shouldn’t have to work to get a game to work properly, but it is early release and this sim is so good that I don’t mind

@WromWrom Wow it seems your system and this game really don't like each other. But I am pretty sure there is something in your system that either doesn't like the game or that the game doesn't like. On my end I managed to run this game smoothly on a GTX980 and a 5 year old CPU. Yes it is 720p on low settings but it runs at 120fps... With 1080p, it ran 60-70fps but with occasional drops. What flipped the switch for me was to reduce the amount of sound samples playing simultanously. Maybe that lead can help you ? Also the last update improved things quite a lot for me. It is a shame you have all these issues. Because when this sim fires on all cylinders, it really delivers a great driving experience. I am eager to see it mature and what the finished product.

Game has run stable on mid graphics for me on my mid range setup. Online practice is unstable, only been booted from one race. Cpu/gpu isn't very high but some reason runs hot.

When i Play this Game i get arround 200 FPS in qhd with my oced 3080 I only get lag when i am in the Pits or the Main straight when there IS a Lot of ai because it swallows CPU i drop down to 13 FPS then with my ryzen 7 5800x

I guess I've been lucky, not one problem since install. LMU runs great except for slow UI response. 12700K/4090, Win10, CSL DD, V3 pedals.

Wow, that is bad. There must be some sort of conflict I suppose. Certainly not what happens to me. Even VR runs at about 90FPS.

Btw i too have a 3070ti, i get 120-140 fps with my settings and it looks good.

I literally only have the occasional crash. All I did to fix everything was go from 2k to 1080p

I got a 3060ti and it runs a lot better on my computer with almost everything on high and ultra, except for shadows

Thank you for this honest review. I bought this game and I sadly had exactly the same issues. 😔 It is a shame because it looks so good when I watch streamers play it but on my PC it didn't let me do 2 laps in a row without lagging or freezing.

The game runs well for me 80% of the time. Your rig does not run this game well :( If you look at the YT’s you can see what good looks like. When it runs and runs well, best racing SIM hands down…already….in EA. Loads to come

all i can say is lower your resolution and all your problems will greatly disappear ... and in my own experience the game still looks amazing . i went from 4K to 2K capped at 165fps and it stays at 165fps rock solid ... hopefully this will help you get to enjoy the game as it should be experienced .

It is an rFactor2 30 Euro reskin pack with the old experience of the rfactor2 - nice progression in game development!

Can not confirm this problems that you have on my system.... Have you maybe afterburner or/and Rivatuner on or any gpu/CPU overclock? This is a known issue that these cause problems at the moment.... The laggy menu dosen't exist anymore... You got something on your system what causes these kind of problems... Have you checked all the things you can do on the LMU Discord? There are a good amount of things what can help to make it work... S397 are very activ on the discord.

I’m running the game using a rtx2080 and a r7 9700k with no problems. I had to lower some settings but the game looks and plays fine.

Everyone I know that plays online with no issues is in Europe. I’m in the states and have not been able to play online, at all. Won’t run.

performance is so bad.. hypercars feel undrivable, only good thing is GTE races if the server doesn't crash. still cars are glitching all over the place, ui is weird and buggy, when i click start driving i can drive but the overview menu keeps in frame for another 10 seconds if the game decides to not crash

I had to refund this. I know it’s early access and for it not to be feature complete but for me at least was a total mess. Unplayable.

Sorry but it looks like you make something wrong.... Is it afterburner or something like overclocking undervolting or something else... The game has his problems but it is not so damn fucked as your system handles this game... The problem is something on your system not the game...
