Remember you have to download all mods needed in here by yourself. They are all linked, but the download and installation is something you have to do yourself. Repeating the assertion does not prove it. At the end of the day, they all "copied" ISI physics, rF2 having been an ISI product for a long time. Any other sim that licensed the ISI code (almost every other sim out there) has similar physics and therefore feels similar, as Rennsport for sure does.

I am glad they will provide VR on day one, so will also see what the reviewers say about using VR in EVO game. I do all my other racing games in VR. I hope AC EVO provides rolling starts or formation laps to do certain racing series. Assetto Corsa 1 only has standing race starts. Also I hope there are several American tracks for the EVO game. So for me it is a wait and see what the EVO game provides. I usually do not buy new games on day 1 and wait for sale prices later on, unless the game has what I mentioned above. @WromWrom Interesting! Seems enough like a legit source for me. Hard to beat a press release direct from the Company itself, lol! What do you make of their total omission of any news directly related to their pending purchase of Fanatec? I took note of the last line in the actual body of the piece, before the boilerplate company background blather, quote "Revved up for the future of sim racing? You won’t have to wait long - CORSAIR is pulling up to the starting line later this year." Am I reaching to hang any hope of Fanatec's inclusion into Corsair on these few lines?
@WromWrom24 күн бұрын
Check out our Podcast for our extended take on this kzfaq.info/get/bejne/o5t_l8aX0tmZqmg.html but we think Corsair is waiting for Fanatec to get their internal discussions straight, while keeping the momentum they have with their own products. If they get to own Fanatec, great, but we expect them to check very precisely if having to deal with the alleged drama at Fanatec is worth the hassle (and we suppose the money). Owning the Fanatec brand would be great, but they are a big enough name by themselves (and let's not forget they also own Elgato) that they would go at it all alone. Time will tell. /sf

My favorite over 12 years-old racing sim is Race-On which is the sequel/expansion of Race 07. It was released in 2009. It's the last Simbin game that you can install offline without Steam. The sim has lots of car classes like AMS1. I made my own racing series and car liveries. The car handling is more responsive and more fluid to drive than AMS or Rfactor. Reiza's Renato Simioni made the car physics for Race-On. The physics are similar to GTR1 where it's really good when your driving at the limit of the car and you can catch a slide. But if you get too greedy your race will end really quick. It's not as forgiving as GTR2 or AMS. Racing sims like Race-On, GTR1 and Richard Burns Rally you need 110% concentration to have a good race. As soon as you start thinking about food for dinner it's Over.

@@WromWrom Race-On is a very good sim. At it's core it's a WTCC touring car simulator but you can add the cars from GTR1, GTR2 and GT legends via mods. It better than buying those games separately because those mods have working windscreen wipers and Race-On has very good rain effects. I like old racing sims because you can edit things quite easily by going into the game files and change the physics of a car for example. The problem with today's sims is that the developers make it really hard or impossible to change the sim in the same way. You have to wait for a game update and hope for the best. You and Cody were talking about the 2024 WEC update for Le Mans Ultimate. There is a mod for AMS1 that already has the 2023 & 2024 cars. I drove the 2024 Lamborghini Hypercar months ago and it was free. I don't know why anyone would buy any other current day car racing sim other than AMS 2. Because you're not getting anything exclusive that you can't get somewhere else. It's not like we are in the year 2002 when the last official Le Mans 24 Hours game came out on PC. We didn't have a choice for 24 hour endurance racing back then. To be fair, that Le Mans 24 Hours game is really good. I have the PC and Dreamcast versions on my shelf. The PC version has 70 cars and 12 tracks on the disc. No DLC you unlock cars and tracks as you play.

Great question and here's my fitting answer: my fave old sim was (is, since I still have the system somewhere in the house) Metropolis on the Dreamcast. Not only did it offer some fun racing with decent physics and graphics, it was the predecessor to my other fave sim: Project Gotham Racing. Micro$oft saw the value in Metropolis, bought it and it became the PGR series, by far the most fun simcade ever. Anyone here familiar with this old classic on the DC? I really need to fire it up sometime. The biggest downside of completing the career was the inability to finish the night events, as the lighting in the old DC was so dark, you literally couldn't see where you were going. Then PGR 3 and 4 came out and the rest is history. PGR and Metropolis is the reason why I shall never give up on the DC and the Xbox 360 (and two of the Microsoft force feedback racing wheel)

I had the wheel active for about 20 hours for testing (and initial loading of the battery) and didn't have to reload once. In general, these batteries nowadays last for 40+ hours of running time. Turn the wheel off after your session and you can go MONTHS before you have to reload. As for the overall battery life (That is, until it doesn't load significantly anymore) I can not say. I can only say the battery of the Cube Controls I bought 5 years ago shows no sign of weakness and even less of dying. Ascher being a company renowned for its engineering and quality, I expect at least the same amount of life expectancy.
