I had been Lea's neighborhood as my friend lives next door. Not even once I rang her doorbell as i respect her privacy at home.

the fans who invaded her privacy in her dressing room and thought it was okay to post about it on Facebook are really crossing the line. It's not cool to invade someone's personal space like that, especially when they're in a vulnerable and private moment. It shows a lack of respect and consideration for Lea's boundaries and feelings. It's like they can't handle rejection or understand that what they did was wrong. She still human beings who deserve privacy and respect. Sharing such invasive and inappropriate actions on social media only shows a lack of maturity and empathy 🤷🏻‍♀️

To think that Filipinos have such SHORT memories & forgot that they did NOT support Lea when she was starting out in the Philippines. She was too “elitist” or “sosyal” coming from Repertory Phil’s. they say. They preferred the more “pang-masa Sharon Cuneta, Regine Velasquez, etc. It was ONLY AFTER she won accolades (Olivier, Tony, Drama Critics, Etc.) & international fame ONLY THEN did Filipinos “riding on her coattails” proudly claimed her “as their OWN”. LEA MADE IT ON HER OWN WITHOUT THE ADULATION OF FILIPINO FANS. She was buoyed by the support & sponsorship of FOREIGN PRODUCERS like Sir Cameron Mackintosh who immediately recognized her world-class talent. So NO, the Filipino fans DID NOT help her win her TONY or achieve her INTERNATIONAL fame. She did THAT on her OWN TALENT ALONE. ANO KAYO, HILO??? WORST CASE OF “CRAB MENTALITY” EVER DISPLAYED. LET IT GO! You can say the worst things about Lea Salonga - but at the end of the day… WHO IS LAUGHING ALL THE WAY TO THE BANK? ABER?!!!

To Filipinos who are giving negative comments. First and foremost without your support Lea has already an audience and followers and she is well known in the west end and Broadway. Did you support or buy a ticket when the original Ms. Saigon was first shown? Do you even know the first award she got? You didn’t nominate or vote her to win the prestigious Tony Award. When did you see A Filipino singer got featured in A PBS special singing a Filipino piece being played by Non-Filipino musician? This was a main stream event. Who ever sung a Filipino piece and it’s in Tagalog in a mainstream event? Eto na po yung crab mentality natin. Lahat binigyan ng kahulugan, sisirain natin yung kapwa natin. Mayabang, mapapel, akala mo king sino at kung ano pa. Ilugar nyo naman po yung pagigung fan ninyo. Kung fan talaga kayo, dapat May pabulaklak man lang. ay baka hindi alam kasi ngayun lang nakapanood ng ganun.

What most people forget is that they are also human beings like us, when the work is done you should be given the respect and courtesy like everyone else… imagine if you get disturb after work, at home or even after you logged out from work …. from where i live that is harassment ❤️

People, stop making an excuse of just being an excited fan.. If you are truly a fan then you want to keep someone you admire safe and stress free. You'll respect their boundaries.
