What a beautiful life you are providing for your children. In north America most of our babies spend 50-60 hours per week in daycare and some of the others in front of the T.V or ipad. We try to offset this by buying them toys and clothes that will never make up for the time lost with mom and dad. Whenever you feel down or overwhelmed by winter rain or other things that troubles you, please remember the incredible gift that you are giving your children. You are all amazing and have come such a long way from when you moved there in your caravan! So much love and happy, joyful vibes for you all from me. I wish you all the very best. Well done! ❤❤❤

My gr grandpa made his own wine. My dad had to scrub his feet for an hour! BUT, he did say it was the BEST tasting, & was like champagne. He's never has a wine as good since then. Lovely harvest video! There's another way to remove honey that will keep the hexagonal cells of the honeycomb intact (without damaging the cells) is to stand a frame vertically on its edge, and on one side, use a large hot knife to cut/scrape to cut away the very outer layer of the wax to expose the honey-filled cells; then place the opened honey-comb face down over a tray, so the honey drains out. and after all the honey has drained out (each side) you can put the frame straight back into the hive (and you wont have to crush up the honey comb or sieve out any wax, because you removed it ahead of time).

For the longest time I had no idea what a Courgette was, but thought it must be like a Zucchini. I finally looked it up and they are the same plant. In the United States we call it by the Italian name and England uses the French name. However there are many other plants or varieties that I do not recognize. Maybe I'll catch it's name on a future video and can look it up too.

The "cake" as u call it - the remains of grape juicing - must be rock hard at the end! If ur tools cannot do that, just crumble the cake a bit and leave it for another 2 or 3 days. It will then juice much better. Also for the white grapes - that last bit of juice is the sweetest (for the red grapes that is the juice with the most tanin content)

I thought that if there are farms with horses nearby you can ask for the horse manure. I'm sure that they'd be happy to have you come by and shovel it out. Obviously, you'd want the manure that has sat a while to avoid the heavy manure smell. Also, if there are tree services you may be able to ask them for the left over wood chips? Not sure that this is as available in Portugal as it is here, but it may be viable if they can deliver it. Espero que vocês venham aproveitar isso onde vocês vivem. Boa sorte

Yum that honeycomb 🍯 🌼🐝😍😋 Do you know honey is a natural anti-bacterial- use it on sores, cuts wounds. Same as Aloe Vera, both can also be used for striking cuttings, dip in honey or Aloe before planting in soil. Bi-carb soda ( baking soda) is amazing for removing splinters & prickles, make a thick paste with tiny amount of water, apply to the splinter or a blob to a band-aid, leave on overnight, next morning remove the band-aid and the splinter will be sitting on the band-aid, I’ve never had this not work when the kids got a splinter or prickle. I’ve just recently discovered this same method gets rid of warts, fat spots, skin tags, moles, I had a wart on my hand and I applied the bi-card paste & a band-aid, I left it on for 2 days, even though it got wet doing dishes the band-aid stayed on. Then I took it off, about 4-5 days later I noticed the wart started to rise up out of my hand and the next day it fell off leaving a tiny indentation, now a week later the skin has healed up the indentation, no signs of the tiny wart holes at all. I tried this because I made Face scrub out of bi-carb soda paste & coconut oil, I scrubbed my face and left it on for about 30 mins, I had a small lump underneath the tip of my nose, it looked like a fat spot, after I washed off the face scrub with a bit of apple cider vinegar with mother & water, I noticed half of the fat spot had come off, so it was half the size it originally was, over the next few days the rest of the fat spot shed off by itself & is now gone. Another home remedy I recently discovered - I suffer with aged looking wrinkled skin on the top of my hands from all the years of gardening, cooking, cleaning, chemicals, typical hard working hands. I made a small bowl ( it was one of those tuna/rice/quinoa bowls) of apple cider vinegar & water roughly 50/50 & soaked my hands with it applying it with an old toothbrush ( one of my go to cleaning tools..lol ) & kept dipping the toothbrush in the vinegar water & massaging it in in circles for about 10 minutes and left it on to dry. I couldn’t believe it when my hands started to become smooth, it draws the oil trapped in your skin up to the surface & the skin obviously does some sort of micro-shedding that you can’t see, little dry spots I had were gone, when I washed it off my hands were like 5-10 years younger and moist fresh skin on the tops. I also use olive oil or coconut oil as a moisturiser for dry skin in the winter here in the tropics & use it for shaving legs etc. and a treatment for my hair occasionally, massage it into clean still damp hair, wrap in in cling wrap and leave it on for a few hours before washing it off with 1 shampoo and no conditioner needed, leaves your hair clean, shiny, smooth & silky for weeks. Old coffee grounds mixed in coconut oil also makes an excellent skin scrub. Drinking either 1/2 lemon juiced, or a rounded teaspoon of bicarb soda with 1/2 glass of warm boiled water every morning before you consume anything else will alkaline your body, guarding you from ©️ancer - ©️ancer won’t grow in an alkaline body, it also gives you a burst of awake-ness if your still feeling tired, and kick starts your digestive system & helps your bowels empty. I love tried and tested home remedies - they’re the best, I was thinking of writing a book one day so these old traditional secrets don’t get lost, when I have the spare time - My mothers ways or something ( me being the mother 🙋🏼‍♀️) 💞🛖 🌳🫒 🍇 🍋 🥑 🧄🍅 🫐 🍓 🍆 🧅🫑 🥕 🥒👨‍👩‍👧‍👦💗🚜🍛🍷

Next time ferment it already with woodpellets underneath also you should grease our oil it before installing it with the grape must underneath and if you have extra cash just buy a second Dornan this way all you need to do is drain the juice from the first then transfer the grape into the second with the press

Wow, we pick our own grapes for wine but nothing like that quantity. Picked them late this year as no time earlier and nice and sweet in the cold weather. Those grapes you picked look very plump and juicy. And that is a good solid heavy duty press - we only have a mini one for our excess apples!

Hi Lia, you work hard and Marten too; both work so hard and with the kiddies too. No crime in buying seedlings and making things a little easier on yourselves. And when you buy at local markets you will be helping small holding farmers out, like you. The wine, well that's a little perk of the job, right? Much fondness X:)

Where I live, up till now, we've had only one growing period. But with climate change, some plants are getting harvested early enough for a second crop to grow. Making plans for next year.

Even with all the mulch it looks like it has been a dry year. Hoping the wells stay full.

one more thing, I am from Turkey, living in germany. I am also a bee keeper. Have 15 coloniies at the moment. I saw that you dont have any cenrifugal Mashine and pressed that with your hand. That is too pitty. You can eat that with wachs as you take it from the bees. That is delicius and healty. So do we in Maditeranian countries. We eat honey with wachs. Anyway great job.
