Yes we built a pump shelter around it. We drain and take it inside during the winter.

HI Prateek. Can you expand on your question? As I'm sure you know the small pressure tank and pressure switch turn the pump on and off as needed. This system turns on the pump on once it goes below 30psi and off once it hits 45psi (I'm pretty sure on those but the pressure range maybe slightly different. Also what size is your inlet or supply line, mine is 1.5" right up to the pump inlet were I reduce it to 1".

Jaan Designs Thanks for the reply. The Intel supply line is the same as yours. 1.5" dropped down to 1". The problem is when we start the pump it builds up pressure till 45 psi even if no taps are open and then stops working. Soon after the pressure automatically drops to 30 psi with all the taps closed and the pump starts again to maintain 45 psi. And this cycle continues irrespective of if the taps are open or closed. Outlet supply line is 1" converts to 1.5".

Sounds like you have a leak...do you have a check valve installed on the supply line..the one on my pump is a stainless steel 1". The check valve allow water to flow through it in one direction only. This is super important otherwise the pump will try and pressurize your supply. Hope that helps. 1.Check for leaks 2.Check for a check valve. Take care.

Jamie Wallace thanks for the solution. The problem was because of the absence of check valve. Once it was installed the pump is working as it should be.

You also should check the pressure in the air tank before starting up. It should be set 2 psi under the cut-in setting. So if 30-50, set it to 28 psi.

hi i read the manual one hour ago. iit says you need to pressure the cilinder with 1.5 bar or 22 psi before you load the system with water. There for i also installed one today but never primed it and never put any pressure to it. What can it go wrong?

Checking the tank's pressure is a good idea. Priming a pump is one of those best practices. The water will help cool all the moving parts and reduce stress on the pump at startup. Hope your pump serves you well.

But I have a well next to my house I bought a one horse power Drummond shallow well pump I hooked everything's up but I'm not getting air pressure do you have any idea why

Did you put a foot valve, and filled the prime plug completely up?
