Hey, just watched the whole video, your biggest mistake was when you straight up left your jungler in the early gank, that was one mistake that couldve had huge impact in you snowballing the game, even if you had an assist you wouldve had more xp and gold and bully darius in his lane. I dont know why you were scared at that point but then it led to some smaller mistakes which then lead to the enemy snowballing. However, I think you are on the right path my dude, dont get discouraged. The biggest lesson from this is to recognise snowballing opportunities which then have positive outcome for your team, such as that. Wish you good luck.

Be a man bro you’ll never learn by playing to not die. It’s better to die and learn and feed if you have to to learn limits in the lower ranks so you know what your champ can and can’t do. If you don’t your just gonna get smashed on repeat by players who have higher mechanics and know their limits.

I used to be afraid to fight and taking risk but man Once you stop caring about dying and concentrate on your gameplay you find out that taking risk beats running away all the time, not only you give pressure away but also put yourself in a state of mind that you will never win against what you are fighting. As soon as I discovered this I realize that I win most fights if I just commit instead of being scared.

@Ebamber3
@Ebamber3 Жыл бұрын
@@matth4069 Junglers actually play in the role where you need to be the smartest person on the team because unlike everyone else you're not face slamming into an enemy laner all day, you have to make decisions with an impact on the game Top is winning? I don't need to waste my time to keep them ahead while everything is burning all around us Top is losing? Have I been there before? Was it a waste of time because they had no idea how to follow up? What's the point going to a lane you're not gonna get a kill in? I'd say the same thing about bot or mid lane. You go to a lane where you have a chance of getting fed YOURSELF as the jungler, and you use that lead to impact other lanes once you're ahead Junglers aren't baby sitters, they're one of the roles with the most agency, if we babysit a lane then we have no impact on the other 2 and put our team at a disadvantage Wouldn't expect a top main to get that though, most top laners are just ooga booga face slam the enemy

I know Neace just laughed the 1st gank off but that was such a misplay mainly because not only did he miss the kill which would have snowballed the entire match, but he lost the jungler's trust. As as jungler, if that happened at one of my games i would think twice about ganking top again, because i would had to solokill the darius. Its just better to gank bot from there on

I see this pattern with a lot of these students/players. @Neace I think it would benefit them to hear out loud that these sessions are NOT about winning, but about learning. Usually I see Neace voice it after the face as "I don't care" as in I don't care if you die, I want you to see the play. But its usually to late, the moment has past them and the lesson is gone. Hearing about it after is about as valuable as us watching the videos. I think as soon as you see a pattern of not listening you should let them know these games are not being played to win NOW but to win going forward.

He's not going in or following calls cause hes afraid he will die. Now i dont know if this is a habit from the design that he knows this video is going to be public or if he does this regularly whenever hes playing ranked. Season 12, that shit dont fly no more. You have to be willing to risk your kd for the game, if you arent then you might as well just leave the game.

I had an argument with a "friend" over this. I lost a 1v1 but the enemy had no sums and was pushing. All he needed to do (he was jungling) was run in, stun and blow whatever cooldown to kill him. Instead of making an attempt he just makes no effort to rush him and just leaves. It's one of those mindsets that prevents climbing as the few who will engage no matter how low their level or lack items can still get something out of it.

@mattbell888
@mattbell888 2 жыл бұрын
NEACE, something you could try with clients like this who won't follow your directions is to ask them questions. I noticed coaches in your bootcamp doing this to some success. Either the clients are A) not thinking about what they're doing or B) thinking the opposite of what you're thinking and don't TRUST you. Or some combination. Asking them the question, "what's your plan right now?" (just 'what are you thinking' can be a little too antagonistic and make them automatically defensive rather than actually getting them to ask themselves the question) can snap them out of whatever automatic response they're on, or will allow you to go into reasoning as to why they don't trust you. Obviously, they paid for the coaching, they know you know your shit, but why can't they trust what you're saying? You could also ask them what you think are the important questions and then lead them to the right answer. Mad respect for your patience. I think live coaching is probably an art form no one has really come close to your level of expertise on, for league at least.

Even though this client didn’t take awake much, I think this is still helpful for me and a lot of others when it comes to remembering that sometimes you have to set up a play by peeling back the layers; ie. forcing summoners, getting boneplating off, setting up a big wave for a potential dive, etc. Even though this concept is something I’ve begun to work on, sometimes I fall back into bad habit and lazy gameplay so this is a great reminder.

Go to chickens, don't just stand here dude." Or the camera control is probably the thing he helped me out with most. Whenever my teammates are fighting I can hear "Camera! I dont wanna see Narnia!" tbf to this guy it took me my first couple years of playing league to break out of being highly risk averse. It was so bad I would let so many free things go because I was afraid to die and snowball somebody. That stuck with me for longer than I'm proud to admit but as I learned the hard way in life and in game being passive ends badly for you more times than not. Now I don't care about my KDA if I end up dying making a play but if it put my team in an advantageous position I'm 100% okay with that, sometimes I know beyond a shadow of a doubt I wont make it out but I know it's the right call. KDA doesn't mean anything if you are losing games. Everyone is saying he threw his money away. granted since he wouldn't listen he didn't learn as much as he could have but being chided for not listening and being scared by a high level player is worth a lot in and of itself. Hopefully my man will improve and break out of that fear of dying mindset. I think this game is a good example of why he needs to break it.

Fr the gank where he runs away after having darius at 300 hp is hilarious plus the added benefit of not playing aggresive on a freaking immortal champion whose whole point is doing dps like a mad dog holly shit, I also was a Trynda main for some time and this shit is simply frustrating.

I've noticed a huge passive mentality across the whole game. Those that aren't scared to be in a fight tend to win. Can't half measure a lane phase and think you are gate keeping. It's stop gap batman strategy. Works fantasy but not real life scenarios.

that darius is god awful. He could have killed tryn so easily after hitting level 2. instead he runs away from level 1 tryn for no reason and then ends up dieing right after he could have gotten a kill. this has got to be bronze elo. god bless

This guy was clearly playing to not die. Instead of playing to win. KDA means literally nothing. You can be 10-400 and still win a game, so long as you're taking the important wins on the map.

I hate when your clients don't realize that you don't care about whether they win or lose the current match they're in and you just want them to break bad habits and make good ones. Like you might lose when you are trying new concepts for the first time and are overthinking shit instead of just confidently doing shit but you have to start practicing doing the right things at some point

A lot of students, myself included, tend to think of League as a twitch-play game and not a chess or strategy game. There are times where I am tired and should just log off, but I sit in lane thinking only of where to trade autos, where to position or move, etc, without a thought given to summs, bone plating, etc. When I'm feeling sharp and alert, I think of all the stuff I know, but everyone has a tired-state, a nervous state, a titled state, etc. For some, it's rage, for some it's apathy, for some it's autopilot.

I hope that he's gotten better since then. Splitpushing has become an even MORE reliable strategy, meaning that the tips for drawing pressure are even better and more relevant. I wondered why he had so much fear, like you outlined later in the video; maybe he felt like it was too far gone?

God it's so hard to pity that guy. Most players are mechanically good enough to be so much higher elo than they are and fail so miserably because of a lack of conviction to make decisions to win the game. Can't imagine how hard this one mentally was for Neace, especially this guy being on Tryndamere
@Dizzifying1

Wait so nerfing all of the toplane items simultaneously except for Hullbreaker was a bad idea? Nerfing their only way to impact the early game in teleport? And now the solution is to nerf Hull? Top lane is already the least impactful role in the game. Is Hull strong right now? Yeah. But only because everything got destroyed. Think about old stridebreaker and goredrinker... they are a 3rd of their original usefulness. I'll agree with Neace that there needs to be more items like Hull that serve different purposes.

This guy being scared is exaxtly what learning a wrong lesson from something is. He threw games, ok. He should review these mistakes and analyse what was wrong. Not just stop playing the game. Best advice i can give to someone who wants to learn is always the same: define a goal and stick to it for 50 games and ignore the results. And build a home brick after brick. Do it to learn to play agressively, guard minions, even solo carry games even though you throw them sometimes. You wont learn anything by not trying.

I know this is old but I think the point is the guy paid to be coached and felt some nerves/pressure. You should never belittle/make a student feel embarrassed in any form of teaching in life. Could tell he was trying and had the right attitude, probably quit playing after this session which is a shame, he just wanted to learn. Lessons to be had in this video in many ways, especially for Neace if he ever comes back to coaching.

i can relate so well, he plays out of muscle memory only like shutting down his brain. it's just hard to pay attention to games like these over a long period of time so my brain got used to just letting my hands take the wheel after a time. everyone having similar problems like fighting and dying and playing the replay thinkin what the f was i doing like i can tell i wouldve lost etc. just try talking to yourself while playing now i do this now this now im thinking this etc. stripped the nonsensical aggression and inting from my games really made a big difference i haven't lost lane since (i mean i peak silver so you know but still)
