In this video, the Kioti CK3510SE has an oil leak from the front axle. And as an avid DIYer, I was not afraid to tackle the replacement. Follow along to see how I replaced the seal on the front axle of the Kioti Tractor.

Have you experience this leak? Think it is from the fluid they use in the front axle from the factory? Anybody else change it from brand new? I was able to get the snap ring off with these pliers: amzn.to/3TMO3Ql. So I bet you could do it with the angle variety of them. amzn.to/4czHOa7 🎥Here are links to some of the camera equipment that I use: Canon EOS R10: amzn.to/3tvoGYO K&F Tripod: amzn.to/3ZUd2m6 Go Pro Hero 8: amzn.to/3pEGsnV Rode Wireless GO II Single Channel Wireless Microphone System: amzn.to/3GvRoN5 As an Amazon affiliate I earn from qualifying purchases made through links posted here - at no cost to you. Mine started leaking at 1000hrs. Replaced the seal (old one didn't look bad at all), and now a month later, it's leaking again, and the other side is starting to leak as well. There's no pressure relief or bleed hose on the front axle....but any sealed volume of fluid is going to expand when it heats up. Couple days ago, while using it, I unscrewed the dipstick cap, and it let out a brief hissing sound. So, clearly I'm getting a buildup of pressure in the front axle when it warms up, thus forcing oil out the seals. Well, turns out there's a tiny little hole in the cap of the dipstick, to serve as the vent. If you take a razor blade, you can pop the center off the top of the cap, and inside is a piece of foam, to prevent oil from getting out the hole. The bottom of foam piece was rock hard, no air could pass through it. I cut the affected part of foam off, and reassembled it. Time will tell if that was the true cause, and also if I'll need to replace both seals that have been leaking, or if the unclogged vent will fix it. Just wanted to comment since your video is the top search result....maybe my experience can help somebody else.

Great video, big thanks to you from the UK. I have a little Branson 130 hrs and 2 yrs old that has exactly the same problem that I have been building up courage to do. Looks pretty well identical in layout. I really felt for you, fighting that circlip off.... Been there, got the tee shirt! 😉 And also felt that happy moment for you, as the little sod popped back in.... 😆 My Kioti EX50 on the other hand has been bombproof in it's build, 3K+ hours and 12 yrs old!!

I'm doing this right now on my Kioti. Fun fact I learned about Kioti tractors from a guy that has been in the tractor industry most of his life, and he's currently a kioti dealership mechanic, he explained to me that the way Americans use tractors is on average much more violent and rough, like construction and forestry, than the Koreans who primarily use Kioti's for their rice fields... not much violent or destructive stuff going on in a rice field. I love especially how they seem to purposely put everything that needs repetitive replacement or access in an exceptionally difficult to access spot. Like right under hoses, or electrical wires, or the oil caps as close to or under something as much as possible. My vocabulary gets real colorful every time I have to work on this wonderful machine. 🫠

My ck2610 has 450 hours and it is just starting to leak. I may do both sides in a month or so. I am in central Maine and when the weather warms up a bit more I will give tractor a day off for some maintenance. Hopefully all goes well. Thanks for good video.

Good video. I’ve had to replace those seals multiple times in the 1750+ hours I’ve got on my CK2610HST. I operate it hard and in some gnarly conditions. It’s just the dirt that gets on top of that exposed seal that eats at it over time. I wish there was a way to protect that joint and seal from the dirt because it’s going to fail sooner or later depending on your operating conditions. But unfortunately seems like most of the small compacts from any manufacturer have a similar axle set up.

This popped up as I'm doing a front axle seal on a Kubota B7800 (1,900 hrs). My Kioti NX5510 had leaking rear diff casings and I had those taken care of under warranty (pretty sure last one was at 4 years; I think 400 hrs). For anyone else: check your warranty before doing any work; this not only can save you time and money but it's feedback to the factory (if everyone's out there replacing these seals then the factory might not know and thus no input to make corrections- yes, you'd think they'd monitor parts sales but that's asking a lot).

That is a very good point. I had no idea that mine was still under warranty, for the drive train. I honestly don't know if I would have done that though. It would have taken me more time to take it to the dealership and then let them have for however long they needed it.

@@OutdoorsEngineer I understand. But if one messes up something then self-repair becomes problematic. I DO prefer to work on my stuff rather than a dealer but if covered under warranty...

@@OutdoorsEngineer Thanks I'll check them out..... Next month I have replace same seals on my 07 Kubota L3400 with 1,500 hr, from what I seen they come apart same way. They was seeping since 800hr. so I used couple bottles of [ATP AT-205 Re-Seal] that stop the seeping but now they are leaking much worse, so I'm going replace seals. I also have 2021 Kioti CK3510 with 226 hr, so I'll keep my eye them to....

Common problem! I've got a 2018 CK35SE with 900hrs.The dealer has replaced 3 on different sides already and both started leaking again after one year. I faithfully clean them with air compressor after each use and still have problems. I called Kioti directly and they called my dealer and told them they have a new seal out now. It's all been covered under the 6yr. power train warranty, so that's been good.

Yikes. I figured it might be debris related. Also when I removed the old one, it was obviously compromised/falling apart. Perhaps poor materials. I honestly never thought about warranty. Ha

If I were to do it again, I'd drain the fluid out of the axle and install and proper hear lube from day 1. I've seen theories on the interweb that the factory uses Hydraulic fluid and it takes out the seal.

Unacceptable.There's no way that a tractor should be leaking at that many hours.When you pay that kind of money,there's no way you should have to wrench spin that early.I've owned and ran a lot of equipment.If my KIOTI starts with little issues like this,it's gonna go.I will go right back to KUBOTA. I buy newer equipment for uptime,not repair time.
@OutdoorsEngineer

I believe this is covered under warranty as well, which is either 4 or 6 years for the power train. One thing I have heard is that it might be beneficial to chagne the fluid right away to what is specified in the book, instead of leaving what is in it from the factory.
