Fixing a bad oil leak on the VW Jetta Gli. Looks to be the gasket on the upper timing chain cover has failed. Decided to remove the motor mount this time around to see if it would help. It actually went horribly wrong lol.

You can remove the oil stick. It’s one bolt. Also the hoses can be moved. Takes more time to remove parts that are in the way but it’s less frustrating.

Could've gone smoother If I had the whole assembly to begin with and removed the coolant hoses but eh....got it done. Hoping the water pump doesn't go out next.
