A LeakyCon attendee asks Buffy the Vampire Slayer star Amber Bensen: "I was wondering if you were aware [...] he had a plan for Tara in season 7, at the very end, Buffy was going to be granted one life changing wish in the face of the apocalypse [...] and in the end she choose to bring Tara back for Willow" what follows is nothing short of an amazing look at one of the relationships that forever changed the face of television.

Happy New Years and blessed be to you and yours, I just wanted to say, when I was 12 years old I had my first experience with a girl. By the time I was I6 I knew I was going to try womyn. I was "never" jealous of them, never wanted what they had and I knew my feelings were raw and new. I was in my first real relationship when I was 19 and its been that way ever since. I'm a 1961 baby, so you know everything was in the proverbial closet. I didn't care! My closet door was wide opened and I never waivered about my feelings toward womyn. I JUST KNEW WHAT I WANTED FROM A VERY YOUNG AGE. LET NOTHING STIFLE YOUR HEARTS DESIRE! You certainly don't want to miss out on what is meant for you. I just wanted to share that and to make sure you never let others keep you from doing what you want for fear of what they may think, bump people... do you and be happy. Peace.

Actually Joss has been talking this "wish" since BtvS ended: google Amber Benson Curve Magazine 2003. What happened for sure is that Joss wanted Amber back to play as The First posing as Tara in the library with Willow (Conversation With Death People), but Amber refused, and if you watch the episode you can see why. I mean, she would have wanted to, but not like that. Anything else may be Joss making things up, or not: I mean, he never really had a clear plan for Tara to begin with: they dediced to make Tara lesbian only after a few episodes she was introduced, and according to other interviews Tara was supposed to die in Season 5, then at the beginning of 6, then again at the end of 6. I don't really blame Amber for not ""trusting" him. Anyway, it's all in the past. I mean, almost everyone involved in BtVS moved on from itand, let's face it, Buffy is not even the big thing anymore. Let's just remember Tara's life instead and assume she went out for cigarettes and never came back and Willow enraged cause Dawn spilled souce her favourite shirt. Willow's storyline in s7 is just terrible anyway ;P

Tara was cool as Willow's lover, but I really enjoyed Willow's second L-relationship because she inspired will to practice, not stuff if. Tara was boring compared to the new girl. She was a take charge type girl and I liked that. Tara was boring, oh, I said that already... and I just finished up season 7 again. Make some new characters and bring back Buffy. Call it "The Next Wave" of BTVS. Just like CHARMED, I'D LOVE TO SEE THE NEXT GENERATION OF WYATT & CHRIS'S CHILDREN SLAYING DEMONS AND THE LIKE. Ijs.

Next girl was a brat and sexual predator. There, I said it. And she was inconsistent as fuck too, one moment awed by Willow's power, then scared by it in another. They could have done more with Tara, but she was amazing. Kennedy was literally the worst character in the whole Buffyverse, not even Riley, Andrew and Connor were that bad.
