Ok, so I'm researching lean and agile. I don't understand how they are mutually exclusive. Can't you use lean to validate your core functionality but just use agile to get the work done?

I could tell by his hairdo that this guy is from startup environment - focus on essentials; don't pay too much attention to fluff.

Enjoyed most of the talk, but UX - is that for blind people? If not than what about the basics like: visual design, legibility, typography etc. The idea to vivisect several designs to create a Frankenstein is a bad one. Would you create your dream-car by stitching together front of Porsche , door from Mercedes and the back form Dodge? Not? Than why do this to your website design, the one that's supposed to bring you money? When talking about UX that'd be good to understand some typographic/design fundamentals like: what CPL means for ergonomics of textual content proper use of white space, typographic scales, design consistency etc. Or just leave these decisions to experts in the field of visual design instead of producing Frankenstein 'mock-ups'.

I think 2017 and 2012 has its difference ;) You might be too harsh on 5-year-old design

At 8:30 he talks about how investors gave the company millions only to see the startup invalidate their idea with a $40 experiment. Folks, this tells you how idiotic some investors are. Any great investor will first tell the startup to spend their own $40 and come back with results. It makes no sense handing over hundreds of thousands of dollars, let alone millions, to a startup who can't do their due diligence tests before seeking capital. If you want a great VC, do your due diligence and know what your customers want.
