Leaning Tower of Treesa, Solo Tree Removal

Despite a critical gear failure, this leaning white pine went down cleanly. Anyone have any tips of cleaning up tree sap?

Same thing happened with my spurs, the “key chain” thing is bent so I’m constantly checking them. Awesome video keep em coming

Yup I had the same problem. Ended up welding the keychain thing shut so it wouldn't slip open. Then a year or so later got a new set of straps with a new keychain dealio. Big improvement!

I like the assortment of vids. Farming, building deer stand, building camping cover/sleeping spot, building the house with those crazy stairs, chickens, water lines, electrical lines, cat cages/playgrounds, tree cutting, carpentry/remodels and prison bus vids. Keep them coming

Don't know if you see comments on these older videos, but I'll offer one anyway, since you're talking about everybody missing the Handyman Diaries. We'll all miss those, since there was so much variety. But if you've moved on, we'll come too. There's just something compelling about watching you work, and enjoy working, and talk about working, and talk about enjoying working.

Using the secondary line is a no brainer for me. If I hurt myself badly up there, being able to rappel fast might be a life saver. I doubt I will be able to set up my rope when hurt bad. What is an extra 10 or 15 minutes in the tree to be honest.

Goop is what I use for sap on my ropes. Original creamy goop. In the washing machine, then after that do another cycle with tide and fan softener, then 3 water cycles. Lol. I no I no. I want to make sure everything is rinsed out. Bsafe dude

the bus is jamming along and pretty great ... had it out a few times this summer. I guess I should post a vid about it but it's just chillin'. I have a few little things to do on it, but that is always the case I guess :)

Great video, tree sap sucks on equipment. I use brake clean the non chlorinated stuff works awesome but I don't use it on ropes.

What kind of device are you climbing on? Are you using rock climbing stuff? Rope too?

I use a blend of tree and rock climbing stuff. I tend to climb on either a Rope Runner Pro or a Gri Gri ... nothing too fancy for me
