This song is so powerful...having lost my daughter at age 30 and then her precious daughter who she sacrificed to bring into the world...lost her at age 3....my strength was literally gone....so many times wondered "where are you, God"...my daughter was an awesome woman of faith and strength...2 1/2 months in hospital...refusing chemo or anything else that would harm her baby...I have never seen the grace of God so manifested...He has sustained us with his grace...her son is all I have left of her....such a gift....But so thankful for that Blessed Hope we have that one day we will be reunited!! Thankful for His word...the only thing that doesn't change! Thank you for this beautiful song....

I’m in a place where I feel like time is racing away from me. Most days I can’t breathe.. I can’t live in this world where struggle is around every single corner. Everyone is going through something and when you desperately need Jesus.. the only thing I can bare to do is lift my hand to the sky.. to a God who I know loves me.. but to a figure I don’t feel that often. This song makes my heart grieve. I grieve for my youth, I grieve for my heart, I grieve for the grandparents who taught me about Jesus and raised me but are now with him too. Warning this will probably be long. This song...It just really spoke to me. I can’t even explain how much this song means to me. Ok I’ll get into it. When I was born I was very sick and they didn’t know if I’d even live. I stayed in the hospital for a month in the NICU. Thankfully I got to go home a month later. But because of my traumatic birth I had a lot of other health issues since then. I got a ton of allergies when I was a baby, I’ve had asthma for my whole life. When I was 4 my parents got separated and when I was 5 they divorced. I’m 16 so I don’t remember my parents even being together. It was horrible for like...a year and a half and right about the time things started getting a little better when I was 7 I got diagnosed with diabetes. That was so hard for my seven year old brain to understand and I hated it. I didn’t know why I all of sudden I had to get shots...I didn’t know why I had this happen to me. And I cried every time I got a shot or got a finger prick for like a year or more. One summer right before I turned 13 I was sent to the hospital twice and once after I turned 13 because I kept getting sick and my blood sugar was crazy and I kept getting key tones. None of the doctor’s, my parents or me knew what was wrong. Turns out it was just because I was a teenager and my body was trying to get used to that. But that sucked. Just because I was doing what all 13 year old girls do I had to go the hospital three times. A couple years earlier I had a asthma attack and the medicine I took to help the asthma made my blood sugar go up so I basically had a circle of bleh. Then...about 3 years ago my sister, mom and I moved to North Carolina to live with my step dad. I love my step dad and step sisters but it was so hard moving away from my family in Texas. Especially since my brother and sister in law had just had a baby like a month earlier. I stayed up many nights crying and praying to God to not let us move. But through all those years God has been giving my dad, sister and I words to encourage us. And He’s told us that our lives have been preparing us for whatever thing He has in store for us. Which has been helping us through all these years. We’re still waiting for whatever He’s got planned for us but we’ve gotten a lot of words and encouragements that make it seem like it’s almost over. Which for someone who’s literal entire life has felt like this long hard road that has been SO encouraging. And it gets SO HARD waiting for so long. But when I heard this song it was like Leanna was singing what I’ve felt for so many years. “All the pain has a purpose, Your plan was perfect all along, this is the truth I’m standing on!” When I heard this in the car I just started crying. And I don’t know if I’ve ever heard this song without crying. It makes me so happy and hopeful and it sounds like a song that I would write about my life. I’m so thankful that Leanna Crawford wrote this song because it has helped me a lot and has meant so much to me.

Today was one of those dark days when I really battle with the loss of my 19 year old daughter in a drowning accident 13 months ago.... I saw your song and decided to listen. It REALLY helped me a lot being reminded that God is control and everything fits into HIS perfect plan for our lives. You have an amazing voice and I can see the light of Jesus shining through you and your beautiful voice!

I just lost my mother and was sure after losing dad in 2003 that I would be prepared and good with it. Instead I am totally broken. Losing your mom is totally different. Your song has lifted my heart and reminded me "where my hope comes from". Young lady I just found your song on the radio this past few months and I had to pull over, I was driving, and just lost it. My husband passed away, eight months to the day today and up until I heard this song I had been hanging on by a thread. See my husband Mark was everything to me. I had a horrible childhood and he was the only man I had ever told all that went on until I ran away before I was 13. I never went back to my family and have not had any contact with them until December when I got on Facebook to try to find my brother who had never hurt me. I found a message from my little step brother's daughter who had messaged me that her dad was trying desperately to find me. Anyway, my husband had been friend, lover and mentor to me he was my everything! He was very close to God, had a wonderful heart, Christian and best example of a man I had ever known. He prayed over me every morning before he went to work and left me love notes next to my chair or other places in the house. Long story but he passed from brain tumors. When he went home to Jesus I thought God didn't care about me anymore. Things were falling apart all around me and I was very hurt God had taken him and left me here. He even said God put me in his life to show God's love, for me and His grace. So I took it very personal when God took him. He was my only family at the time, like I said, he was my everything. Your song is exactly what I had been feeling. Scared, fear and doubt. I was extremely suicidal the first four months off and on. Even though I still had a small flame for God at the time it kept me from harming myself. Thanks so much for helping me in the dark times hold on! Thank you for expressing your heart to us to help us all hold on and believe.

Truthfully I feel as though I’m just giving up on God and that I’m not worthy of His glory. But then I remember, how can God the Father of Jesus give up on me? The answer is He does not and never will! Here’s the truth that I’ve come to realize, my battle is still going on and I’m sure the storm is bound to get worst if I’m not careful.
