Hi Katya, I love your videos. They are very helpfull. Thank you so much! It would be more helpful if you could take a little brake after the russian sentences but leave the subtitles on screen so we can read it and repeat after you said the sentences. And it would be much more helpful if you'd repeat the russian sentences once or twice. Go on it's geat!

I love this, but there's one thing I wish you would do differently. When giving the Russian examples, if you could say each one twice (the first at normal speed and the second one more slowly), it would help a lot. As a language teacher myself (English in my case), I can tell you this makes language lessons a lot easier. Even so, this is a handy video. Spasibo! (...Sorry, I don't have a Cryllic keyboard)

I just found this video and it is interesting and very helpful to learn new and basic words. Can you please tell me Katya how many words you recommend me to learn every day? Is it posssible you repeat twice the word and phrase? In my opinion is more effective for learning the word and also the accompanying phrase.

I loved this video and really enjoyed the teacher. That said, I also learn French from the same company and they have an extremely similar female teacher! They are both personable, original and a little quirky. I am sure they're different from one another, but wow, this is an interesting typecast they do for the teachers, similar mannerisms, affects and camera edits. It's effective, as I'm a subscriber to both. :)

Short annotation to 9:15: "жениться" only refers to men, the same goes for "Вы женаты?". That's a question you can't ask a woman, it's only if you want to know whether a guy is married. If you want to refer to women you'd have to say "выходить замуж" and following the same path "Вы замужем?". So, that's dependant on the gender. Just something she didn't mention in the video, at least not in the part I watched. And I didn't watch much of it because I'm a native myself and just randomly clicked on it...

I've learned the Russian alphabet to the point where I can recognise and pronounce each letter, and to a certain degree I can read Russian. however when I read Russian as I'm saying the words it doesn't sound right? main reason for that is the letters that look English but are pronounced different.
