I'm so glad you explained everything so well. I've been doing workshop for making malas. It's a big issue trying to get the cord through semi precious gemstones when it's folded over to go through the eye of the needle. Awesome! 💜

Hi, can you please make a video regarding how to join extra Griffin cord to another when 2m proves to be too short for the project?

So needed this video when I opened my Griffin bead cord as it seemed I must undo all the thread so that I could preserve my needle... Which indeed was the case. So helpful, thank you!

Really hoping you can advise me how to ensure the knots at the end of a tassel could be secured... I'm using the griffin nylon. It's a beaded tassel not a fabric one. So just the final knots at the end and the stray ends... Wish I could show you a picture.

thanks for this video. I just was going to retread a necklace that I previously finished on one side (necklace was divided and only one side broke and now the other did too) > I knew I had enough thread left over but I had a hell of a time because I cut off the wire end...arghhhh! Back to the store and lesson learned.

Hi there! I am not sure I understand exactly. Can you elaborate?

I am really confused. Isn't #3 (0.50mm) cord thinner than #4 and #6, or am I missing something?

Nope, you're not missing anything Dianne! You know when you think & know something and then the wrong thing suddenly comes out of your mouth? That happened!! (eeep!) Thank you for pointing out the error! We've edited the video to remove the confusion and we'll film a follow-up video that goes more in depth into the sizes at a future date. We have the smartest viewers! ;-)

Hi! I've been using this cord and have now had 2 necklaces break in the center where I hang a light weight pendant or arrowhead. Any suggestions? Go with thickest cord?
@EurekaCrystalBeads
@EurekaCrystalBeads 21 күн бұрын
Thanks for the comment! Arfe you able to take a look and see what was next to the spot where the cord broke, and what does the break look like? Sometimes, even just a bit of sharp edge can slowly saw through cord, and silk cord is made of hundreds of tiny delicate threads, so togethery they are very strong, but each individual one is quite fragile. Could this be what happened?
@pamelajeanunlimited
@pamelajeanunlimited 21 күн бұрын
@@EurekaCrystalBeads I think so. The arrowhead had wire so I revised that and used something less sharp to touch the cord. I also wasn't using the Griffen brand, an off brand, but 100% silk. This other necklace just had a pendant, not sharp. And both pieces broke in less than 2 weeks. 😭
@EurekaCrystalBeads
@EurekaCrystalBeads 20 күн бұрын
That definitely shouldn't happen! Meanwhile for these particular pendants how about trying a different necklace material? Leather cord or perhaps even a thin Griffin cord but with beads on it?
