I was practicing when you said "I hope you're practicing right now" hehe. Indeed, it's easier to pay attention to videos when we're practicing at this level because if you get to some boring part of the film or whatever you don't feel like as if you are losing your time, because, you know, you're not... Thanks for the lessons claus.

revisited this video again now that I am trying to master the harder CAGED barre chord shapes C, G, and D. They ARE hard and I am using Claus's excellent advice to hang in there on these finger busters

Just bought the course! Really like the mini courses these days. Alot of us REALLY need to learn the notes on the fretboard. Mini course possibly?

Agreed, Claus. This concept is what I, personally, refer to as "internalization". A skill known 'inside' both the brain and the body parts that the desired actions just happen 'automatically'. Like getting up in the morning and going to the kitchen for that first cup of coffee or tea or whatever. You don't 'think' about placing one foot, then the other, to get out of bed and don't think 'left foot, right foot' to walk to the kitchen. You 'just do it' because your mind desires it and your body knows how to perform the actions required to achieve the desire.

Great lesson. Your teaching is on the bullseye that works. It takes a different behavior as you say.

I would love to practise at work, but I would probably get fired. I can still listen to your tips Claus! Thanks a lot.

After 2 years on mediocre purgatory i have started to train with your method, so im going back yo basics. And i dont have any problems for avaliability of practice time, my mindset is on the bigger goal...but my problem is endurance and fatigue, like phisical endurance. After a few days of 3 hours 2 chord changes my left hand is starting to be in pain and feeling week...of course i know It is because the huge amount of time and effort but...if i want to get the repetitions i have to put the time. How do you deal with phisical fatigue or pain?

Your videos are always on point! Mastery is where its at but I think humans being innately lazy, conservation of energy and all that evolutionary jazz, we are reluctant to put in the the HUGE amount of time to achieve brillance at something.

Hi Claus, can you tell me the difference between your Legato Preeminance course and your Enforcer Course? Are the enforcer concepts and licks in the Legato Course? Thanks

I ended up tracking how many chord changes I would practice each day, I did over 10,000+ changes just between C-D just for example, just to get competent. I also kept a count of how many chord changes i could do in a minutes time. On C-D for example I got to 120+ per minute.... Always working on getting better...

Thanks for the tip man, I did about 700 changes of C to G, and then ny chord changes went from shitty 50 changes/sec to 80+ accurate changes/sec

I play all the chords...in the Major scale but I have finger strength. Since keys are just PITCH....I master everything in C MAJOR/Aminor. Basic chord are just EVERY OTHER Note....Im going to play every Other note. I'll basically see different shapes of every chord in that scale.... i FOCUS on Chord's DEGREE..just mode...Mode are the samething as CHORDS or FULLY extend chords are the samething as MODE.... I also play in ONE SPOT....the 5th fret or what. I'll play a MAJOR chord....Barr chord shape toward the Bridge and towards the nut. ROOT on each string...it's simple...but I do it so I know to make chords with the ROOT on each string... Then I go to minor chords.....samething. Then to dimisnished then to aug.. Then extended....maj7....min7....dominant....full diminished or half diminised. It'll take me a good hour just to practice doing that....sometimes I pick...other time I strum. But i see whatever chords FASTER...i can shift smoother. make whatever chords anywhere on the neck. Sometimes the scales plays it self or it sounds like songs..but Im focus on the chords and the degree/mode of that chord. Becuase i use all 9 parallel scales....and the possible chords in them I need to know what chord to VAMP in and out. LOTs of FOCUS.

Claus, I watched your videos on how to hold a pick and I've kept at it for 6 months but it hasn't fixed my problem. The pick keeps rotating and ends up at a weird angle after a couple minutes or if I play faster than usual. It happens both with strumming and picking, though much worse when I strum. I can't figure out why...

Maybe try a pick with a little more grip, e.g. Dunlop Flow?
