A few days ago I could understand the base what you were talking about it, but now I can undertand each word you say I worked too hard and it did worth, I'm so glad with my listening skills. I can understand deeply the things now, and what you said, I totaly agree about get the main ideas, and don't just foccus on the words, because eventually you won't get what the people were saying to you , because in the real conversations you won't have time to think and try understand each word, you must get the idea, ty james, I'm improving my english every day by watching your videos

you know what I love about your classes... your sense of humor and that you don't try to speak too slowly like some others. I'm fluent in English, But you know I never stop learning. I'm always surprised there's always something new to learn. Again, thanks for not speaking slowly, that really bothers me, besides it's not natural at all. :)

James is a good teacher to keep a student focus in English I wish I have a prof like him to teach English. Personally, he says something true. I hate when teacher come a class to teach a course n start talking about other subjects like what happened in their social lives. I dont feel like staying in this class.I got a writing teacher she prefers to talk more than give us student a subject to start working on it in class. Every body could be a teacher, but NOT every body got the art to teach.

Jacob Dalton Hell yeah they do!! I find it hilarious that people who are trying to learn a second language complain about speed. Wtf do you think the process of learning the language is about? It's not easy. Listen to this video 5 times by the sixth time, he won't sound so fast. But they give up and judge before taking the time and discipline to FORCE themselves to understand.

Great video! That's what I always tell my students! When we listen to someone speaking another language we tend to panic, like 'oh my god, oh my god, what if i don't understand? I CAN'T UNDERSTAAAND! HELP!', so the key is not to worry too much, relax and actually focus on listening, not on wondering whether we will understand or not. And James is right, don't worry if there's a word or two you don't know, try to understand the whole idea:)
