Train your ear to listen to fast spoken Portuguese. Learn Portuguese through Stories. In this video I'm reading a short story in the present tense. Learn which sounds can disappear in everyday speech. Red represents possible suppressed syllables or letters and green represents where links in the sentence may occur. Some of these suppressions can vary depending on the speed of the speech and local accent. These videos are examples of fast, colloquial and most of the time informal speech. They are meant to be demonstrations of Algarvian Portuguese. Please note that the resulting "linked" words in this video are not the way they would ever be written. This is in the description but I will reinforce it again here: Keep in mind that the resulting "linked" words that I demonstrate my videos are NOT the spelling of them. Also important is that they can be different or not so intense according to accent, level of formality and speed. Also, don't feel you have to imitate and reproduce these sounds like I'm demonstrating. I'm highlighting how they are being said, mostly in the Algarve ;)

Just discovered your channel. Your videos are fantastic! Please keep making more of these “short story” videos. And please keep making them in the exact same way. These are perfect. I love how you have the translation on screen and also have repetition and gradually work from slower to faster. This is perfect.

Nunca em qualquer momento digo que isto é a fala absoluta de TODOS os Portugueses como o senhor está a insinuar. Aliás, digo que são exemplos possíveis supressões (não cancelamentos) na pronúncia Algarvia. Devia ler com mais atenção. De qualquer das formas agradeço a vizualização e todos os seus comentários.
