I love President Uchdorf. Being a single mother of the church I know full well what it is like to stray from the path. although I do not have the priesthood, I still have things to do, people to save and have the opportunity to bring back Amuleks through my example. awesome stuff!!

Elder Uchdorf is so awesome. My wife is my Amulek. She helped me back into the church after I had a personal tragedy. Thanks for this wonderful talk

I watched this because the story that Pres. Uchtdorf shared was about Bro. Dusty Smith. I wish some dear friends of mine could listen to both this talk and Dusty share his story. I know that Heavenly Father loves my friends dearly, and I hope that some day they may return to Church. I sobbed in a temple celestial room a few days ago because of my friends' decisions to leave the Church, and a brother came up to me and shared Mosiah 24:13-14. The Lord is more mindful of us than we think! He loves us so much!

Thank you Elder Uchtdorf! My mother recommended I listen to this talk since I was recently given a new calling. I see the lesson I am meant to learn from Alma and Amulek, and I plan to look to their teachings to learn more. I know the Lord has a plan for me and I will continue to trust in Him. Thank you for this conference talk!

Notice that each prompting from the Spirit are often something that will make us feel discomfort, and discomfort is what makes us grow

As I have been struggling this past few months with repenting of my many transgressions, this message has given me more faith and hope. I have begun to feel our Savior's Love in ways I never have before, even before I left the church. Because of this message, and many others from the general authorities, along with daily scripture reading, I have become more in tune with the promptings of the Holy Ghost. The feelings are indescribable. Such joy and love I have never felt before!

How do you find yourself today? I left the church as a teen and ventured down many paths. Ultimately ended up in prison, divorced, addicted and hopeless. Going from dabbling into things of darkness to simply becoming the darkness. I got myself together in prison and did well for some time upon my release. But stress of daily life crept in and soon I was addicted again. One day while feeling particularly hopeless I thought about suicide. I can still quit clearly see the image of my children standing next to my grave and crying, their hearts broken. I did the only thing I could. Completely defeated I cried out to the Lord. I decided I would try again. Not because I was in jail and compelled. Because I was truly tired of myself and my life. He came to me, he gave me rest, he placed peace in my heart and hope to my mind. I sought out a good Bishop and followed prayerful council. That was 22 yrs ago.. I have since remarried a beautiful woman who had not been married before. We have 4 beautiful children together. I was just released from the stake young mens presidency. I have served as a vail coordinator in the temple. Life is as happy and fulfilling as one could ever expect we own a beautiful home, our children are talented and have wonderful testimonies. When I think of that lonely apartment, my thoughts of suicide, my hopelessness and my being incapable of seeing a brighter future. My whole soul wonders in the immense love our Heavenly Father and our Savior Jesus Christ have for us personally and individually. Life is wonderful! Do not ever give up! Was it easy… NO! Is it worth it…? In every meaning in every way with undeniable certitude! YES!! Your past means nothing to the Savior! His only concern is for your future, your happiness, your successful and worthily returning home to dwell with God in glory. I testify in the name of Jesus Christ, if you ask.. He will come into your life he will strengthen and fortify and make what once was broken whole again!

This is my story as well Charlie. You're Not alone. I'm coming Home to the Kingdom of God on the Earth after being Lost lo these many years. Now I'm the Happiest that I've ever been. The Gosple is True. Joseph Smith translated the Gold plates by the Gift and Power of God made manifest by the Holy Ghost and brought forth the Book of Mormon. We're led by a Living Prophet today, even Russell M. Nelson. These are indeed The Last days before the Second Coming of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ I so Testify that God lives and Jesus is His Christ. So say I in the Holy and Sacred name of Jesus Christ Amen and Amen.

I would like to hear what Alma's wife was doing all this time. How would they function? Maybe he wasn't married but was his father a single father? Alma the older one? If so, what was she doing during this time?

I heard once a podcast about forgiveness. The man talking in this podcast was the same man that Elder Uchtdorf talked about towards the end of this talk. Unfortunately I haven’t been able to find it again. If someone knows what podcast I’m talking about and could help me find it I would appreciate it a lot!
