In Lesson 28 you will learn about the “Modal verb - möchten”
The objectives for this lesson are:
• What are modal verbs?
• Modalverb “möchten” and its position in a sentence
• Usage and conjugation
Remember this is one of the many Modalverbs that you will learn in future. We have more videos on other Modalverbs in our grammar section.

Thank god this one was easy. Actually, learning German from English is basically just learning english twice for a lot of this. I always get anxious about the video length when i type in the lesson number lol I always hope its under 10 minutes

Lektion achtundzwanzig möchten = would like to • Ich möchte Ärztin werden. = I would like to be a doctor. • Peter möchte in England studieren. = Peter would like to study in England. • Modalverb (Konjugiert, Pos. 2) • Hauptverb in Infinitiv (am Ende) • Was möchtest du essen? = What would you like to eat? • Möchtest du ins Kino gehen? = Would you like to go to cinema? • Ich möchte eine Cola. = I would like a cola. • Anwendung = usage • Wunsch = wish • Ich möchte Schauspieler werden. = I would like to be an actor. • etwas bestellen = to order something • Ich möchte eine Pizza (bestellen). = I would like to order a Pizza. • etwas einkaufen = to buy something • Ich möchte Äpfel kaufen. = I would like to buy apples. • Wir möchten in die USA fliegen. • Er möchte einen Hamburger. • Möchtet ihr mitkommen? • Ich möchte Pilot wwerden. • Möchten Sie etwas bestellen?

I've learned more from these youtube videos than I have from spending over 2K on a german language program. Many programs now don't want to teach you grammar, they will only tell you that you will learn it along the way but for me I need the grammar to really boost my learning. With these videos I've made much more progress. THANK YOU!!

Thank you Anja. Just to give a little back to you, I noticed in this video you wrote @ 0:42 "... and it's position". In English, we only use an apostrophe in "it's" when it is replacing the "i", and therefore when it means "it is". The possessive use of the apostrophe is not used when following "it". In this case, you are not intending to write "... and it is position", so the apostrophe is not used. It should be "... and its position". Other examples would be: "I love its furry tail" and "I fixed its engine". I know this video is a year old, but you may just notice this post one day. Thank you for all your Learn German videos. :-)
