Thank you. I was ready to do a small levi quilt and kept putting off because I was afraid to sew it together. Now I am headed to my sewing room to begin sewing rows together,

Great tutorial but what was the notion you used to turn the circles

I used the RNK turning tool in the video but I've replaced that with The Gypsy Quilter Stitchy Sticks. There are three tools in the set and I use them all the time! Lisa

Great video. I loved your in depth explanation on every step that you did using this circle magic tool and the entire process. Angel hugs of thanks. Your a great tutorial teacher. Bless you always. What was the name of the tool you used when turning the block to keep it's seam rounded? what is the name of the tape you used on the backside of the template? Thanks.

I used Hugo's Amazing tape on the back of my template and I used the RNK point turner in the video. Since making the video I have a new favourite turning set, the Gypsy Quilter Stitchy Sticks. You can find them at the following links: loriscountrycottage.com/search?q=hugo*&type=undefined. and loriscountrycottage.com/products/stitchy-sticks-3pc-tgq121?_pos=1&_sid=b3b50f77c&_ss=r

I just made a small table topper but my circles didn’t line up properly during the last step. I have a small gap in between each circle. All of the gaps are equal. I rechecked my markings and they seem well placed. Can you help troubleshoot what I might have done incorrectly?
@loribosecke3165
@loribosecke3165 Жыл бұрын
Hi. I wonder if your seam allowance is just a bit too big? That would make all the circles just a little smaller and would account for the gaps. Were you able to sew them together okay? Lisa

I have a question. Does "double-sided fusible batting" have a paper covering (like Heat n' Bone) that has to be removed? If so, at what point do you remove it?
@loribosecke3165
@loribosecke3165 7 ай бұрын
Double sided fusible batting does NOT have a paper backing. It looks like regular batting but has a fusible product applied to both sides.

Hi I am curious what is the quilt to the left of the speaker, with blue and burgundy flowers? Is there a pattern? It is so pretty I couldn't keep eyes off of it.

It's a pattern called Butterfly Orchids from Southwinds Designs. It's very old so I'm not sure it's still available but they have other great patterns.

What pencil exactly do you use? I can’t seem to find one that really works well. Thanks!

Hi, I actually just used a regular pencil for marking. If I have dark fabric, I use the silver quilter's pencil. If I want a colored lead I usually use the Frixion pencils. I hope that helps. Lisa

Good video but wish you were talking like we are there with us (like visiting) instead of you talking “loudly” like your a teacher in a 5th grade class room! It was hard for me to watch because it was like we were getting scolded most of the time…. Maybe you talk to others like that all the time!?! Closed the video after 10 minutes.
