Minus him not mentioning the inside out part,, this trick actually works pretty darn good. Duvet covers have been the bane of my existence up till now.

I just throw it inside the cover, match up 2 corners then shake it till I make it

It is still a pain if you are doing this yourself, but still better than climbing IN the douvet cover to move the duvet around.

Start with the duvet cover inside out.

And to think I've been sleeping on my duvet cover on top of my duvet for almost a year.

For the life of me idk why I can never remember how to do this🙄 I have to reference this video every time I change my sheets. First time duvet user and I did this method by myself with a king size!!! It works 🙌. Thank you

I just grab a corner of the duvet, then put it to the inside corner of the cover, same with the other corner, then grab both corners from the outside and shake the cover down over the duvet. My mother does it that way so I must have got it from her, but it also just seems very intuitive. But I guess it's not, since so many are talking about climbing INTO the cover... instead of just their arms. Not everyone can reach both corners of their blanket, though!

I just did this tonight with the help of my daughter. It worked and it was so easy! Next time I hope to be able to do it alone!

At the start, the guy says “You know how you have to turn it inside out....”. Then at the end, Rachel reinforces that you start with it inside out. It’s a good idea to watch any tutorial to the end first! In this video, by the end it’ll be clear that the duvet has to be inside out at the start, even if no one said it. 😊

It helps if your duvet cover opening goes all the way to the edges. If not, well it's doable just a bit harder

I used to think this was such a wonderful method. Now I know there is a better way. Turn the cover inside out then put your hands in through the open end and put them into the corners which will be at the top of your bed. Grasp the appropriate corners of the duvet and flip until the cover has "deployed" itself then button the open end. The easiest and fastest way that I have found! I found it on YT!

The "burrito" method. It's brilliant. There's a little more effort when you have a 15 lb weighted blanket like I have, but it works.

We tried this at the hotel where I work, and it works pretty well IF 2 people are doing it together. Then again, we put duvets together several times every day, so we really didn't struggle with the old method.

After three failed attempts, I went back to the old "stuff and shake" method. easy peasy.

Hmmm, "effortlessly" is a bit of an overstatement... When you're alone and the bed is in between three walls... Having been living abroad, I've learned that my native Finland is probably the only country where there are two smaller holes also on the other end of the duvet cover. You put your hands through the small holes all the way to the end so that they come out from the big opening, grab the duvet, and then shake until the duvet is inside the cover. It makes so much sense I cant believe it's not standard 😅 But as I no longer have such duvet covers (and haven't cut extra holes in the ones I have), I still find it more manageable than the burrito style, as many have said in the comments, with the cover turned inside out, grab two corners of the duvet and let it unfold... I guess the mechanism is similar to the burrito but just easier when you're alone in a tight space.

Did it! But with a king size duvet in a bedroom with bedside tables and lamps and a bench at the end of the bed. It was a bit difficult but a lot better than trying to stuff the duvet in through the opening in the cover.

This only works if the duvet is printed on both sides. If only on one side, you have to put the duvet cover inside out with the pattern facing the bed, then follow the instructions in this video.

This is fucking amazing! I just did this in like 7 mins with no complaining, normally I do it having to put my head inside it, tedious af task that took 10+ minutes with breaks, and I fucked dreaded each time I had to change the sheets. I didn’t even know most people did it inside out so imagine how big of a task I made it for myself before. This is a life changer! My duvet is actually a larger size than my bed, so it would’ve been way easier if they were the same size because I wouldn’t have to go around each side of the bed. When doing this roll, you have to match up the sides too, not just the corners. Would’ve taken like 2-5 mins if I had a size that’s right for my bed! And I’m so glad Rachel brought up that the duvet cover has to be inside out. I was confused at first.

I did NOT expect this to work. Between my crappy hand/eye coordination and general brain fog (COVID-19 shoutout!) I started this with a complete lack of expectations. I don’t think I’ve been this happy since 2016 happened. Please never take this down, as I have already forgotten how I managed to accomplish this!

This is a God send for a confined space like a Motorhome bunk.. but what I learned first time which I dont know if explained in this video.. if you have a patterned side you need to lay it upside down with the pattern to the bottom for it to come out the right way when duvet in place in cover 👍

I just flipped it inside out, laid the comforter on top, tied the corners together and flipped it inside out again. It took two seconds.

See, my issue is my duvet cover opening is like a zipper pocket that doesn’t go from end to end, its like in the middle

This works ladies and gents. I made my own duvet cover from 2 flat sheets for my queen size down comforter. I was fed up with the prices for one duvet and some of the comforters in stores come with no way for you to keep the thing from shifting all over the place, SOOOOO, I purchased some nice strong ribbon and plastic rings you can get at wallmart in the fabric section, and sewd the rings to the inside corners of the cover and the ribbons to the corners of the comforter.. a little work and a few bucks did it for me. When I wash the cover, NOT THE COMFORTER, everything stays in place and I just tie the corners with the ribbon to the corners of the cover and BAM... This moves nowhere even when you toss and turn and always keeps it's shape. Once you get the hang of what was shown, you will find that it's realy easy.... at the opening you can purchase round velcro fasteners that iron on or come ready to stick on. Hope this helps.

Thank God the woman clarified the duvet cover has to be inside out to start with. Imagine the nightmare of you got it wrong and had to do it again. With RSI/arthritis even that could be tough.
