This is very good video. With the improved lighting and high resolution image, it is possible to see that your are picking up just one or two threads when you are stitching the borders of the hole. The backing also provides a lot of strength and structure. Thank you.

No me canso de mirar tu trabajo te digo ahora yo siempre le miraba a mi mamá como hacía y 1 día le dije yo me animo hacer y desde ese día no largué más para mí sos mejor q yo x q yo pero te hablo de tela había distinto y después empeze sola agarre pullover y después vaquero me alaba hasts una alfombra hice con mi yerno el si se animó a hacer mira te quedó 10balasos como pepita la pistolera seguí aunque sea repetido gracias 👍👍👍👏👏👏

Se llama pegamento de vaselina. Está hecho de algodón y es similar a la tela. Es preferible comprar el material fino, utilizarlo y al pegarlo debe estar bien calentado. Puedes comprarlo en tiendas que vendan mercería, hilo y botones. Siempre está presente en estos lugares. Mis mejores deseos de éxito y buena suerte :) 🌹🌹💖

Repairing the hole in the shirt: 🪡🧵 👕 I'm watching & thinking "I know the seam stitch"... then I'm thinking "oh that's going to show" ... then I'm thinking " oh wow if you didn't know you wouldn't know there had been a hole there to begin with" and I like how you put the peice of iron on cloth and the final outcome of the repair...I will certainly be using smaller stitching now when it comes to using the seam stitch. Can you advise what type of fusible interfacing you use in your videos to secure your stitches on the inside? It appears the same type in each video, but your repairs are across many fabric types. Vaseline is an adhesive or filler used to line men's suits. The names differ in different countries. It is made of cotton and looks like cloth. It is better to buy and use a thin material, and when gluing it should be well heated. You can buy it in stores that sell haberdashery, string and buttons. It is always present in these places. LOL. In the United States, Vaseline is a Petroleum jelly used on the skin. LOL. GUESS I'll have to work more efficiently to figure it out. Many thanks for being gracious to respond to my question. Hola, me gusta tu trabajo. Siempre he Tratado de arreglar las prendas que presentan esas roturas. Por supuesto lo he hecho de manera empírica; pero estudié con monjas españolas y ellas incluían en las clases las manualidades y eso va creando cierto amor por las telas, agujas e hilos. Mi pregunta: las reparaciones las haces por el derecho o el revés de las prendas?

Look in stores that sell haberdashery, twine and buttons, it's okay if you don't find this Japanese, you can use another quality, just remember to check numbers 7, 11 and 12. Good luck and good luck :) 🌹🌹 💖

They look to be hand sewing darning needles sized 11 or 12, so they are on the smaller end sized for sewing thread. Sharps should work too. You wouldn’t want sashiko needles, as they are much thicker, longer, and have larger eyes for the thick cotton threads used for sashiko.

Do you think this would work on a hole that is about 1-1/2” x 1” around? Seems it will make darts (puckered folds) on the ends.

It's called Vaseline glue. Or filler or interlining fabric made of cotton and similar to cloth. It is preferable to buy the thin material and use it and when sticking it should be heated well. You can buy it in stores that sell haberdashery, yarn, and buttons. It's always there in these places.
