As of today, January 9th 2023, Minister Sean Fraser has reopened the IEC and IRCC is currently accepting applications for the 2023 season.

Every situation is different so we won't be able to answer all your questions on a KZfaq comment but you can find tons of resources at Moving2Canada.com that can help you navigate the immigration process. If are are ineligible to make the move through IEC you could always check out Express Entry or any of the other programs Canada has to offer. We also have an Express Entry video guide which we'll be launching next week so make sure you've signed up to the website so we can send it to you when its published!

In theory yes, but if you don't get a job that can qualify for 'skilled work' as determined by the Canadian government then you might find it more difficult to apply for PR. Also just be aware of tax implications with having a job overseas with Canadian tax laws.

Thank you so much for your amazing videos! Question for you, if you can help. I am Italian, living in London, holding an Italian passport. I have completed the eligibility questionnarie to see whether I could enter the pool, but realised that there's a loophole which is: I can't apply for it with a different passport from my residency. What would you recommendation be? Thank you in advance !

Hi Nicoletta, so sorry we had responded to this message but it seems KZfaq didn't post it. So in short it sounds like you want to apply for IEC work permit? There is an residency requirement for Italians so it depends on a few things, do you still have a residence in Italy, can you move back there to do your application (stay with family or friends?) but we want to be clear that every single immigration journey is different and unique. I was approved for WHV, I got a letter to send my passport to a VAC office. The letter states that I will have a Visitor Visa placed on my passport and then I will be issued an open work permit after arriving to Canada. My question is, how long do I have to activate it?

Hey Guys - This video couldn't have come at a better time. I am turning 35 this year, I already contract for a Canadian company but I live in the UK, would I still be eligible for this?

There has been some interesting changes around the UK and age requirements for the IEC, we're fact checking them at the moment and we'll be releasing an update when we know more! Also if you have a job offer from a Canadian company there may be a multitude of other immigration pathways available to you!

@@Moving2Canadainfo I have stumbled across the CUKTA agreement between the U.K. and Canada and it seems there might be a way to get a work permit as I am a contractual service supplier to them. So hopefully that’s the best way for me
