Ingredients:
For the cherry marble cake:
- 2½ cups flour
- 1¾ sticks butter, melted
- 1 cup sugar
- 2½ tsp baking powder
- ¾ cup milk
- 1 pinch of salt
- 4 eggs
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder + 2 tbsp milk
- ⅔ cup dark maraschino cherries
For the toppings:
- ⅓ cup cherry preserves
- ⅓ cup hazelnuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips, tempered

Excellent easy recipe! 👍👍🤩It reminds me of the first and only cake I ever made together with my mum when my mum purchased a microwave that provided a marble cake recipe! I was amazed we were successful with our first-ever cake because it was easier than it seemed! It looks like fresh cherries were used. Could fresh frozen cherries be used instead? I purchase cherries when plentiful, pit them, and freeze for use in a pie filling, BBQ sauce etc... Why use a jar to mix? A wooden spoon and a bowl would work also🤔 Clever use of a blow dryer. CAKE LOOKS DELICIOUS 😊

It did say maraschino cherries but since I don't like those I don't see why you couldn't use fresh or frozen sweet cherries. Or tart one's if you so desire!

IF you are NOT ALLERGIC to NUTS, just switch to your favorite nut instead of the hazelnuts. Heck, chocolate and peanuts ( technically are not nuts but legumes) go well together.
