I’m glad I came across tutorials. I’ve actually learnt a lot from this particular videos. My question is for someone like me who’s left handed is it possible for me to do it the other way round and still get the same perfect sound.

Yes it's possible. Even though I've seen left handed drummers, try to do things like right handed drummers and they're doing really well. Just find what's comfortable for you.
