The benefit of this lesson for me, as a 4 month beginner, is it gives me a sense of my current knowledge level and where I need to improve. Listening and comprehending is one of my top weaknesses. Thanks for doing this.

I’ve been using Babbel for about 8 months now preparing for my trip to Venice in a few days. While I’ve learned a lot, it’s not necessarily the most useful information. I don’t need to know how to look for apartments, I need to know how to order food and read signs and use public transit and ask for directions. BUT, a video like this really shows me that even if I don’t know every single Italian word or type of grammar just yet, I’ve learned enough that I can understand everything in this conversation using the powers of deduction. Excellent video. Thank you. Had never heard of sfogliatelle and . 'morbida' was a surprise. But I am still unable to roll my 'r' s'.

Le sfogliatelle sono buonissime! (and "morbido" is one of the worst false friends beween English and Italian 😅😅😅)

Yes, English subtitles are available! 1. Click on the CC button (closed caption/subtitles) to enable subtitles 2. enable the automatic translation by clicking on the little engine button (Settings), then click on "subtitles", select "auto-translate" and then pick the language of your choice. At first I had the same thought. However, after listening, I concluded it was very helpful to challenge my comprehension level of the definitions and the spoken word. I should have known you had it covered. Great instructor.
