Excited when 8 saw this title come up! Disappointed as there were no instructions how to do it correctly, just a demo. Can you please do a follow-a-long video explaining the How's, Dos, and Do nots, which will be more helpful to a beginner who has no idea. Great demo.

You need to do a lot of uddeeyana bandha (step one) gain control of your muscles by your willpower. You can google steps but I'm afraid they won't help you as it is very spiritual process different for everyone.

If you have a lot of body fat then it's harder to see the muscles define . However if you stand bend over and place both hands just above the knees or where comfortable then take in a full breath through the mouth and then exhale it all through the mouth . Close the mouth and clamp of the breath fully and then press down with both hands on your legs using the abdomen muscles to push down . Then try to breath back in while not allowing any breath back in . That will give you Nauli and should only take a few days to get it right . How much you can see is another matter . Taking pressure of one hand defines the opposite side and visa versa . Advanced use : Flexing and relaxing the anal sphincter while doing this gains control over it , will take about 3 to 4 months to achieve , and allows it to relax and then air or water can be drawn into the bowl as soon as it relaxes . The real Swami of times gone by would sit in a bowl of warm water and draw it up into the bowl to wash it all out .

Hey Tamara, wish there would have been some instructions on how to do it. Simply demonstrating it, isn't teaching but simply showing. ALTHOUGH it looks great it isn't really helpful to most people. As yoga teachers it is easier to make it about the students and not ourselves it truly goes along way.

Absolutely a well done video! A must see for anyone seriously considering the yogic practice of pranayama. This woman demonstrates the exercises perfectly. Visually speaking, it is beautifully illustrated. The camera work and lighting in this video also makes this an ideal training video. I first discovered these exercises in the early '70's from a book entitled "The Complete Illustrated Book of Yoga", which was authored by Swami Vishnudevananda and published sometime around 1960. Without hesitation, I highly recommend it as an excellent text on the physical, spiritual, and philosophical aspects of yoga. It is a must read for any serious, aspiring, or curious yoga student. Though the book contains very clear black & white photos of these pranayama exercises along with a number of the major Yogic postures (Hatha Yoga), it was still difficult to show (or for me to understand) the manner of these moving exercises. The only other pranayama videos I've ever seen were from yogis in the jungles of India taken way back in the '40's and 50's which I found on KZfaq. I had a lot of difficulty performing these exercises correctly when I first started, as I had no instructor. All the yoga I know and can do, and still can do, is what I learned from that book, so to me there was no sense in joining a studio or paying someone money to show me what I had already learned. The exercises this woman is doing are extremely difficult; she obviously has been doing it for quite some time and she does it very well. I wish I saw this when I first started. It is very motivating. If you understand what she is doing, the consistent practice of these exercises, along with a mindful lifestyle, diet, and ethics will, in time, begin to induce spiritual insight and open up your psychic capabilities. Do note however, psychic capabilities cannot be rushed. Yoga is, without question, the best physical health regimen in the world. Why? It's thousands of years old, it's free, and you don't need any equipment or special clothing. And, it offers something for everyone. As a frivolous aside, after reading some of the viewers comments here, I do dare recklessly classify the comments into five groups: 1) those "who know" 2) those "who don't know" 3) curious passers-by 4) wise asses 5) dumb asses

Ok let me explain. You would not be able to learn it while learning for the first time WHILE SITTING, to get into it ( I mean to dive into and get little but control and familiarity)...step 1)start by doing it while standing, bent, and have both hands on thighs, (first do frequent air breathing so that you have enough oxygen inside you to support you), step2) now exhale all air out so that your stomach looks totally in. Step 3) now start doing the step2 of the video. 4) now you try to push you stomach on left/ right (which ever suits ) side ( by any means I.e. by moving you pelvic bone etc( like rotating your upper body to have that motion on your stomach) ... Just in any way try to copy that move.... When you get professional in it... You will have the experience of it then... Try to move while not moving moving upper body and then finally by sitting..) I did it that way :p. IF YOU STILL CAN'T GE TIT SEARCH "AGNISAR KRIYA BY RAMDEV BABA"
