Awesome story! This method of comprehensible input really works. So the wolf ate ‘chalk’ to make his voice high? I was sure it was honey (Miel in French) but that’s мед according to the dictionary. I get he put flour on himself to be white like the mum goat but not the chalk part. Am I right? Was it chalk or honey? 😀

Each word in Russian carries a bunch of grammatical problems with it (beyond the meaning) : Declention (six cases singular and six more plural!)), a moving stress position according to the case. Same with verbs...In a nutshell, IMPOSSIBLE TO SPEAK THAT LANGUAGE CORRECTLY, unless you have spent years in a native environment. This, and this only is the UGLY TRUTH After this video who's going to remember how to use козлёнок, козлёнка, козлёнку, козлёнком, козлята, козлят, козлятам, козл\тами, четыри козлёнка, семь козлят, where in English you have just TWO forms for the same word: GOAT, GOATS, and that's it! On the other hand trying to learn Russian is a magnificent brain exercise to keep away Alzheimer as long as possible!...You know, something like trying to become a master at chess!

Every Russian child knows that the correct title of this fairy-tale is Волк и семеро козлят (Volk y semero kozlyat).. Nobody says "sem' kozlyat". You need to correct the title - it looks and sounds incorrect, wrong. One cannot just go ahead and change the word in the title of the fairy-tale that has been known for a long time. If you are a teacher, you have to correct this textual and stylistic mistake. Who am I? Zoia Eliseyeva Experience of teaching English and Russian - 30 years. My both parents were Russians. I am a native speaker of Russian. I teach languages and I created over 25 linguistic books. It makes me feel so bad when I see mistakes in well known texts, the mistakes posted widely on internet! You may erase this comment, However I want you to know that if you want to teach Russian, you have to teach it correctly. If you love Russian language and culture, you need to leave this comment for everybody to read, or erase it only after you make the correction. It looks really bad for Russian people. Distorted Russian is the worst that one can see on today's internet. The quality of education has become worse (Russians say about themselves when comparing with Soviet quality of education), and on the top there are these bad miistakes, popularized on internet! Please, correct your mistake, Sergey! June 12 2021 California USA

Hello Zoia! Thank you for noticing this fact, and I don't mind to explain it to you and all the people who might feel confused or upset that I've changed the name of the story. The reason I've done it, because this story is oriented on a beginner learner of Russian language. Not many beginners know the concept of collective numerals, and therefore might feel confused and skip the opportunity to learn something new and interesting, because they didn't understand the title of the story. The goal of my channel is to make the most accessible content for Russian learners, and and don't overload them with grammar. Besides, the way I've changed the title of the story is grammatically correct. I understand your indignation, but I do love and respect Russian language, and I believe that this minor change will not damage such magnificent and mighty language like Russian :) But thank you for pointing it out :)

We learn more in 20 minutes with Sergey than after years and years with traditional teachers who are so particular about everything being absolutely right. Many of us learn a foreign language initially through non native speakers, who might make some mistakes, but we have ample opportunity to rectify them later on. Sergey does immense service to the Russian language. I've taught a foreign language myself, and learnt a couple of other foreign languages, and my experience allows me to confirm that the greatest aid is an entertaining and interesting environment. And the worst obstacle is an obsession with errors. Sergey's talent keeps us transfixed! We learn effortlessly. Continue Sergey!! You have a grateful bunch of admirers!
