♛ Find the variations and traps of the Alien Gambit shown in the video in this blog-post - chess-teacher.com/alien-gambit/
The Alien Gambit is a trending chess opening variation from the Caro-Kann Defense, which occurs after the following moves: 1.e4 c6 2.d4 d5 3.Nc3 dxe4 4.Nxe4 Nf6 5.Ng5 h6 6.Nxf7.
White sacrifices the knight to draw the Black king out and attack it. The Alien Gambit gives the highest win rate of 59% for White in the mainline of the Caro-Kann Defense.
In this video lesson, GM Igor Smirnov gives a complete opening crash course on the Alien Gambit. He provides a complete explanation of the opening moves, key ideas for White, the 10 main traps for White, and the refutation or the counter for Black.

Thanks for the informative video. I am wondering if most of this can be avoided by simply playing 5... c5 instead of advancing the h-pawn.

It's interesting the video of gotham is suggesting to defend the D4 pawn with c3 so it's different that here it isn't a problem. Could you tell me if the differents of move order how does affect the effectivity of the opening?

They should have called it "the 1200 ELO Gambit". I'd be more than happy if a GM would play this "gambit" against me. Why would you blunder your knight on f7 and hope that the opponent will play bad after being up a knight?
