Thanks, Skatie for this tutorial. After a lot of practice and seeing your tutorial I can do the c step! I love your technical explanations because I can see my weak points. Aha! I guess this is pretty much the way I'm managing to turn from backwards to forwards! I haven't found (or noticed) other people doing anything that seems like what I do. It's the version with both feet on the floor. I don't know where exactly is my weight (I think it's mostly on the foot that centers the pivot), and then I end the turn by giving a push to speed up forwards, because it uses most of the momentum in this half-spin. If you're interested, I can send you a video in Instagram messages. That's the only way I feel safe to turn from back to forwards yet, so maybe it would be nice to share ❤️

That sounds like a nice way. Just be careful as I’m not sure this would work at speed but maybe I’ve misunderstood your technique. x

@@Skatie yeah, I'm not confident in doing any transition back to forwards in speed 😭 but at least to this one I don't have to wait the wheels to stop before, like I do in the Mohawk 😂 the toes or heels pivot I'm also afraid I'd take too long with wheels sideways to the movement 🙈😅

Be careful with this one as it does put a lot of pressure on the knees during the turn. Listen to your body x. ⭐️🛼💕

Me imagining an attempt. Hold on = death grip, don't panic = sheer terror, helps if you make the sound = eeeargh! (the of an ignominious splat)

Hi skatie. So im a beginner and just got a new pair of skates. Im currently starting to learn how to skate in my garage but im kinda preparing for outdoor skating. I wanted to ask if you could please give me some tips on skating on a bricked surface because that is like the only outdoor surface i have and i dont want to skate on the road as a beginner cause one wrong mistake i get hit by a car😅. Your video's have also been really helpful so far so i just wanted to thank you😊

Thank you so much. I’m glad the videos are helping. Brick can be a little bumpy so I’d definitely recommend a big 60-65mm and soft 78a -85a wheel to help soften the ride.
