Wow!! I always learn so much from you, Manar! It's obvious that you thoughtfully create lessons based on common questions, points of confusion, and problems that Arabic students have. And you also seem to be really in tune to what's already covered on popular KZfaq channels and what's missing. Thank you so much!! 🤗🤩

Great video, it's always helpful to see the difference between closely related terms! I have two questions: - In the advice situation that you showed, "bshuuf enno laazem tussal 3ala elwa'et", does it mean something like "I think you should arrive on time"? In such a construction, does the verb shaaf always come along with laazem to give the idea of advice, or are there other cases where you could say "bshuuf enno..." to express a suggestion to someone? - Could you use tfarraj 3ala in a sense of "look after" or "take care of someone"? I mean, would it make sense to say something like "mumken tetfarraj 3ala elawlaad wana bruuh 3la-ssuu'?" Or would this sound creepy, like I'm asking you to keep staring at the kids? 😅 Is there a better verb here for "to look after"? Thank you!
@LearnArabicwithManar2 жыл бұрын
Salamat Lenon 👋🏼 tekram 🌼 "Bshuf ino lazem" means "I think you should" "Bshuf" doesn't have to come with "lazem" all the time. - we can't use " tfaraj" for can you watch the kids. You could say " deer balak 'a liwlad" دير بالك ع الولاد. اتفرج Is only to watch a film or a show or someone doing something.

Hi, thank you so much for your lessons. Is the verb حضر also uses for to watch or is this more in Levantine dialect? For example if I want to say I watch KZfaq videos would I used بشوف or بحضر. Thank you so much!
@LearnArabicwithManar2 жыл бұрын
Salamat Saqib 👋🏼 حضر Is used in Syria, but it's used more in Lebanon to talk about watching TV or film at home or even KZfaq. In Syria we use it more to say I attended a theater or a meeting etc. حضرت مسرحيّة مبارح . حضرت الاجتماع.

Thanks for the great lesson! For طلّع على, I've only seen it before as تطلّع على and I thought طلّع alone had a different meaning (take out, bring up, etc). Are they interchangeable? Thanks again!
@LearnArabicwithManar2 жыл бұрын
ahlan Mark 👋 تطلّع على / طلّع على are the same, just a different accent. طلّع alone is to take out, bring up. Adding على will change the meaning.

Ahlén ya Manar. Am I right to think that the difference between « شاف » and « تفرج على » is that « تفرج على » needs to have intentionality? Like if you say “Shift sayaret rfee2i,” that couldn’t mean you happened to see your friend’s car drive by. But if you say “itfarrajit 3ala sayaret rfee2i,” that means you intentionally checked out your friends car. Sa7?
