Many English speakers do not pronounce their aitch “h” as a “ھ”, but as a “ح”. This is even more obvious with the German “h”. I think that in fact they pronounce indifferently one or the other to say aitch, so the comparison with English is perhaps not very useful.

ممتاز جدا كعادة يا منار. لكن بالنسبة لي مش سهل الفهم عشان يتكلم الشخصيات بسرع و بعض التعبيرات غامض. لا بد لي ان أستمع الى الحوارات العديد من مرات قبل ان أتعرف الى الكلمات! شكرا على الفيديوهات و الدروس منيحة جداجدا.

The girl on the bed mumbles with food in her mouth. Could not understand a word of her Arabic.
@LearnArabicwithManarАй бұрын
Haha, I get what you mean! 😄 It can be tough to understand anyone speaking with their mouth full, let alone in a different language! But hey, it's all part of the fun of learning Levantine Arabic, right? Think of it as an extra challenge level! Don't worry, the subtitles have got your back. Keep at it, and soon you'll be decoding all sorts of mumbles! 🥳

Are they Kurdish? ٤ و ١ = çar û yek, ٥ = penç, that's what he said, no? İs their argument over what language to call the numbers in?
@LearnArabicwithManarАй бұрын
Salamat 👋🏼 Backgammon has different names for the numbers. As far as I know, it is Persian and similar to Kurdish numbers. He is trying to teach her the numbers used in this game

the usage is very similar to the spanish "hasta" even tho etymologists don't seem to think they are all that related apparently
@LearnArabicwithManarАй бұрын
Interesting point! Thanks for sharing. Even if they aren't related, knowing about 'hasta' can definitely help understand 'حتى' in Arabic👍🏽
