What in the world is happening in the 2nd measure of K? There’s a 3 marked above beamed 8ths notes. I dunno if those are supposed to be 4:3 poly rhythms or something else. I assume the last two beats are regular 8th notes. The notes before that I have no clue what’s going on lol can someone help 😅 EDIT: Nvm I just realized it’s a half note triplet with nested 4s

Could someone tell me how this book stacks up against their book last year? I’m a brass player but even I could tell how technically insane their book was last year, I just wanted to know what percussion players think about the comparative difficulty

i can compare when i see more video.. i dont think this is their feature - unless im wrong? but i would say they are pretty clean if not better than one of their early videos from last year

I’ve learnt both openers - this one is more consistently difficult imo, but that’s not to take away from 22’s difficulty. 22s book had sections which were relatively easy, and it was as bookended by really difficult parts. This stays hard throughout the piece. However, 22’s drum break was much harder than this, but this video isn’t of the drum break so we can’t be too critical of that.
