Learn the ping pass in today's long pass tutorial. In today's video tutorial, we will teach you one of the most valuable football skills out there - the long pass otherwise known as the ping. Shifting the play from one side to the other quickly with a ping or a long pass is an absolutely dangerous tool and one of the best and most useful football skills to have in your locker, and in today's long pass tutorial we will teach you how to learn the technique behind the ping and also when and where on the football pitch to use one of Paul Pogbas favourite football skills. Taking inspiration from Paul Scholes, Wayne Rooney, Kevin de Bruyne and Xabi Alonso, Pogba is a great example of how to shift the play with a direct, hard long pass or a ping - and if you watch today's ping tutorial, you will master one of the deadliest football skills as well.

actually central defenders usaully have to ping the ball across the pitch more than midfielders because since there farthest away from the attackers, in order to connect to their wingers or there strikers they have to ping the ball 60-80 yards depending on the field size

I tried hitting with the spot that you suggest but I got better results when I hit the ball with the instep and the "knuckle" of the big toe. I got more straight and better back lift on it this way. thank you for all of the tips.

the shapes of peoples feet are different so you cant hit it with all the same spot its why a knuckleball is hard for most people

When it comes to pure long passes, Xavi Alonso was the best, not Pirlo. Andrea Pirlo was the overall best passer in the world, he also had the best vision in history, but when it comes to pure long passes, I don't think anyone can match the technique and precision of Xavi Alonso.
