Having no reserve isnt the danger. I trust my BASE canopy to open, once pulled, more than having a skydive main AND reserve. BASE canopies ALWAYS open if packed decent. The issues when learning to BASE lie in not having an AAD and/or screwing up your exits. If it's only a two parachute thing you're worried about, maybe BASE could be for you ;

David White haha good try mate :) still won’t do it. The sad list of dead base ppl also scares me. Sure I could learn from mistakes and be a perfect packer...but still prefer my second chance :) enjoy it !

​@@davidwhitee I guess how much you (and whatever other jumpers) trust in your BASE canopy and skydiving main/reserve respectively is not for me to judge. However, stating that the added risk in BASE over skydiving is down to the lack of an AAD (huh?) and botched exits is quite objectively wrong. There have been more than 60 fatalities due to object strikes under canopy. Off-heading on your skydiving reserve? You might not even notice. Line-twists? You've got hundreds of meters in three dimensions of space. Having a second chance via the reserve in skydiving is as much about the second canopy as it is about having the airspace and altitude to deploy it - that's why we don't use one in BASE. As for trusting your BASE canopy more than your main+reserve is statistically speaking quite unreasonable unless you are trash packer and have a shit rigger but this doesn't seem to be the place to start probabilistic calculations.
