I don't like seeing men wearing skirts or applying makeup (ik men have evidently worn them in the Renaissance period and other times in history) but I know it's not my cup of tea and some men just cleary don't look good in make up and end up looking like jokers while some pull it off smoothly. With that said, I don't really think a person who thinks guys who do all these things are an epidemic to masculinity, is rational. Masculinity ain't that fragile. What happened to having a tolerance capacity and thick skin ? It's an aesthetic choice ffs.
@Greed_The_Avaricious3 жыл бұрын
Yup they are epidemic to masculinity when you start caring about your body more than what's necessary and people who dress differently has different mentality, for example devotee always will have tilakam on his fore head we assume he is a devotee and we don't use cuss words Infront of him etc; wearing pink colour t shirt won't change much but guys wear sarees in public or Punjabis etc; they are too feminine in nature and naturally deviate from risk taking jobs, men should not be like that, being emotionally sensitive doesn't define a man but not being able to stand up against violence or not being protective are weakness to men, you might say we are not going to war but I would argue you can't just assume anything, checkout on Bengal violence against Hindus by TMC goons for example. You can't assume what's gonna happen next.

He isn't completely wrong if you are from the 90s generation. There were no quintessential or metrosexual men back then. Nature has made men, behave like men. I don't mean toxic masculinity here. If you expect your female to cook for you, better do the dishes for her. But it sucks when men imbibe feminine traits like polishing nails (Repulsive in my definition), wearing make ups or gossiping. Men are meant to be providers and protectors. That's why nature makes males physically stronger. To be protective of the female partners, daughters or sisters. Feminists may stand up now and say women don't need men to protect them. That's fine and is a perspective too. And possibly a role reversal. Personally the 90s generation would relate to many things Baba said (Even working out and calorie intake. Back in the 90s, it was not about 6 packs and lean body shredding. That time it was about size. Eat big and work out bigger. Sanjay Dutt and Sunny Deol were the ones we grew up on, when it came to the word Machismo).

Learn how to be open to new perspectives. You don't have to accept or agree to every other perspective that comes your way. But, get to know the base of it before challenging or dismissing it. 3. There's a difference b/w the terms male-female and masculine-feminine, which you need to re-learn. 4. When a person tries to belittle or mock another person without even knowing them, it shows how insecure and unsure they are of themselves. Practice avoiding it to save yourself from embarrassment. Real good men are dangerous but disciplined at the same time. Competence is the core virtue of men.
