You should add the video to the Aircraft Familirasition Playlist. Keep up the great work! (...and thanks to all the countless hours saved me in past years!)

Excellent to hear, be sure to check out the videos covering multi engine flight too. They will help you fly multi engine airplanes better and show you how to deal with engine failures too

Thanks, man. I like the Bf-110. Nice cockpit, decent power, it is what it is. It flies good as well.

Thanks - very smooth. My first attempt, winging it, I got it off the ground but blew the engines. Per previous comment, combat notes would be good. Unfortunately you are not likely to get the traffic your videos richly deserve. I hope that is a pessimistic appraisal. Again, this stuff is excellent.

Thanks again Old_guard, I know it sucks about the combat notes going away but with FM changes come changes in performance which would render any performance data I test for invalid, so it's easier to not do it since essential notes are in the game anyway.

Good! The only thing I would have added is a note about how the cannons need to be manually reloaded by the player.

Currently, I have only taken the Bf 110 out once to attack an airfield. Honestly, I preferred the 110 over the IL2. The 110 was much easier to handle in a dive.

Thanks again - default engine/trim etc. configurations are crap for takeoff. And Heaven forbid that the game developer actually provide useful instructions. This is after all the 21st century, not the 1990's on Windows 95/08.

I "think" the default trim settings are for cruise flight and not takeoff...so I always like to center it then use whatever trim setting is recommended which I try to find from period manuals for all of these airplanes.

+ReqiemBoS *The Bayerische Flugzeugwerke Bf 110 had a design flaw with the instrumentation.* Unlike the U.S./Lockheed P-38, the engine oil and water temperature and oil pressure gauges are without the cockpit, in the engine cowlings' inboard faces. Makes for an unnecessarily stressful scan.

i think its really unfortunate they dont allow for manual start-up when everything is already modeled to do it
@RequiemsACTL
@RequiemsACTL 7 жыл бұрын
Yeah it would be nice to have the ability to do it manually, but that's not what the devs are shooting for I guess. We always have Cliffs of Dover or DCS to satisfy that need though

Hey Requiem! Hoping you can answer this question for me... in the center of the dash, there are a few lights- two white ones just above the artifical horizon, and then 4 red ones below it. Sometimes the two white ones will come on, and other times two of the red ones will come on when I'm flying, and I haven't been able to figure out exactly what triggers it, or what they are indicating. Do you know what these are? Thanks!

The upper white lights appear to say "Umschafterstellung" which translates to "Ambassador position" (but only if I put a space in between Umschalfter and stellung). although it's hard to tell if I'm getting the spelling of Umschalfter correct (I can't get a perfect view of the word in the game), as the 7th letter of the word also somewhat appears to be an L, which would change the meaning to "changeover position" Just underneath it , it says "links (left)" and "rechts (right)", but every time the lights have come on for me, it's both white lights, not just one or the other.

I realize now that the lower red lights are low fuel lights, but it was confusing me as the top ones would turn on, and then later they turned off... could this simply be because of the plane's attitude?
@RequiemsACTL
@RequiemsACTL 5 жыл бұрын
@@Jbroker404 I cant say for certain as I don't have access to my PC until i'm back from England. It's possible the way you're describing it this could be related to the automated fuel management as the tank used for fuel is switched around
@adambratt9902
@adambratt9902 5 жыл бұрын
I don't have any evidence. But i strongly suspect. The white lights indicate that the "tank to tank" fuel pumps are active. I studied it in flight. So when tank 1 & 2 reach 50L. the corresponding red lights turn on. Then the plane automatically starts pumping fuel from tank 3&4 to restore tank 1&2. The red lights turn off for 1&2 as they fill up and finally the white lights when they are full. My guess is that only tank 1&2 lead fuel to the engines. 3&4 act as reserves to the first tanks. Hope this helps!

@@adambratt9902 you're right, I've been studying it too over the past few weeks and came to the same conclusion; I've been meaning to come back to this thread and post about it. Also, when the white lights are on, you'll notice that two buttons on the left are pushed which read something like "Pumpen Fl. Rechts/Links" (or something close to that, not by the game right now).
