Thank you brother! I really appreciate that and seeing comments like that definitely make all the effort worthwhile. I know you understand first hand how much work and effort goes into making a video. Knowing there are friends out there who enjoy and benefit from it make it so much more rewarding! Take care Torren.

Ok, I am in Georgia and I had this in my garden last summer, but decided to pull it out because every identification video or pictures I saw had rounded ends with yellow flowers. Mine had pointed ends just like the video and purple flowers. If I get lucky to get them again I will try them, thanks!

Maybe it could have been field madder. Sometimes it looks like a young purslane.

Had a bunch of this I found growing in my grow bags. I had seen it in my yard before, birds... Ha! anyway it cooked up really great with a passel of Komatsua, Chijimisia and kale steamed in a sauteed onion and bacon mix. Yummy.

Does it have a mimic that is poisonous tho? I'm not sure but it has to do with a red spot on the leaf?

Yes, it has a few. The one you mentioned as well as spurge.

The one reason ehy I wouldn't reccomend this for a beginner is that there is a poisonous look alike. if you know enough about them it is possible to tell them apart but a beginner may not know.

Definitely Portulaca Amilis… I can’t find any credible sources that discuss the edibility of that particular species. Does anyone know of a specific source regarding that question?
