I love how there was sometimes pauses / intermissions in this video, with pictures and without words... It gave the video more of a slower vibe 😍 and time for me to process the spoken language in my head 🐳🤔💭💭💭

I'm so beginner that I listen only a couple of short sections - between those pauses - per day. The pauses helped me to find that solution.

I love your videos! They're friendly, helpful, and just the right speed. I feel like I actually get better every time you teach us in your video. Thank you so much for taking the time to teach us the way you do. As for our neighborhood, we think it's wonderful: we live right next to a lake and a baseball stadium. It's an easy walk to both of them, and there are walking and biking paths around the lake, too. There aren't very many bars or restaurants within walking distance, but they're a very short drive from our home.

Thanks a lot for the video. It's very useful to learn new words and review grammar and vocabulary. I like the Netherlands, both towns and the country side. It is very relaxing. It is a good choice. I live in the city in a multicultural area. It is full with supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. Now most buildings are going to be renovated because of fiscal advantages. Not far away a new project is arising called "Trees library " in order to pay more attention to nature.

таунхаус: Same in English (townhouse) and in French (maison de ville). In Spanish they call it casa adosada and in German Reihenhaus. So the latter two emphasize the fact, that those kind of houses are built in a row and share a wall and not, that they are part of a town. But this is of course, how old towns and city centers were built over hundreds of years - at least in many parts of Europe.

In German it’s „Reihenhaus“ (House in a row). And yeah. That’s no village for me too. In Eastgermany a Dorf is something with no shops at markets at all. There are a few houses, fields, nothing more.

Today is 1. August 2022. Sankt-Petersburg's team of "Easy Russian" is still in Russia and it is not safe anymore for them to have such content on KZfaq due to new "laws". "Easy Languages" decided to delete all videos until these members leave the country. Katja is living abroad already and Nikita had to flee recently, so they are in safety thus their videos remain.

6:36 I think anything with shared walls and more than one floor is considered a townhouse. About the only good things I can say about my neighborhood are that it is safe, traffic isn't bad, and there are several parks within walking distance. Otherwise, it's boring, has very few good places to eat, and is somewhat far from the big city.

0:29 "multi-storey" should be spelled as "multi-story" 1:36 "cark park" should obviously say "car park" (english subtitle I am assuming added a "k" to the end of "car" 4:33 "тренировать в интерактивном режиме" google translates to "train interactively". I am assuming that the better english translation would be "which you can learn by training interactively" 6:36 the order is switched, it should be "and in the russian language, we don't even have a special word for it". Most russian learners could probably figure that out from the first 3 words tho lol, but the fourth word tripped me up because I didn't know that it meant language

In winter in Petersburg besides the fact that it’s cold it is also quite windy. You need warm hat, gloves (or mittens), scarf and warm boots. Good luck.

На втором этаже literally, in Russian we don’t have a special name for a ground floor and call it “first floor” even if there are no apartments there 🙂 so yes, you are right 👍

according to the google translate, the sentence:"We are going to the store" is translated as "мы идем в магазин" but in the video: "мы едем в магазин", which one is true or is there something I missed? (just started learning)

Мы идём = пешком (on foot), мы едем = мы используем транспортное средство (we use any vehicle). Therefore, we use "мы едем" here, because on a bicycle.

Хаха😁, Тоутян значит стоять с земли до неба на китайском языке. Потому что такой дом принадлежит только вам, то есть вы имеете первый этаж до крыши, поэтому такой дом называется Тоутянь.

We live in the Netherlands so we show our city and our neighborhood 🙂 On this channel we talk about the Russian language, which only partly has to do with the country and mostly with the people who speak it and who study it, and those people live all over the world 🌍
