You look like a complete beginner in scripting yourself so I'll try to give a bit of constructive feedback on top of my downvote: 1) "That thing" on the first line is called a shebang. If you use the correct name for it, people can search the internet for more information after watching your video. But you can't search for "that thing" so that wasn't helpful. 2) The purpose of the shebang is not to give your file pretty colours. It is to tell your UNIX/Linux system which language you used. Now you're using bash, but you could also specify ksh, mksh, ksh95 and many others. 3) It helps if you tell somewhere which software you are using. For both the text editor and the terminal access. Doesn't have to be in the video itself, you can also put that in the description

@@GhostStrats I hope you learned that it's commonly called a shebang then. It would be good to think about why you are sharing this, is this a follow along type series where you learn but there is no value to the viewer, or are you trying to provide some learning value also.
