Welcome to this free English class about aging. Everyone gets old, but although it is common to all humans, it can be a different experience for everyone. In this English lesson I'll help you learn a number of words and phrases that English speakers use when talking about aging. These new words will help you a lot if you find yourself having a conversation with someone and the topic turns to aging.
In this free English class you'll learn words and phrases like old age home, wrinkles, to age gracefully, aches and pains, young at heart, and more!
I hope you enjoy this English lesson about aging!

Thank you ,Mr. Bob for this very interesting lesson. I am 71 and with your lessons and daily short lessons I don't forget my English knowledge. I learned to speak English at school in the 60.... We were one of the first German generation after the second world war who speaks English. Dear Mr.Bob, it's normally to grow older. I also have grey hairs and wrinkles. And also some deseases. But the most important thing is to be loved by the family and be loved from my four grandchildren. So every day is a good day.... Age is only s number.... All the best , hope see you soon and healthy and happy

My wife is studying neuroscience and one of the subjects she was learning last week was Alzheimer. In a nutshell, they told that keeping your brain active is a powerful way to avoid this disease. As you learn new things your hypothalamus (an essencial part of it) creates new neurons. So let's keep our brains actives. Thanks again Mr. Bob. Keep safe and active!

Thanks teacher Bob for your topic about " Aging." All of us will have been experiencing aging so that it is part of our life. We will be lucky and grateful if we reach aging especially this time of pandemic still safe and alive. I am so glad and happy so that my life turning 41 this coming December. Thank you so much teacher Bob for sharing attitudes, experiences,list of sickness, and the way how to treat and care aging people. Most important of this lesson is spend time if you have enough time, always talk and love them while they still alive. Keep it up and keep safe US well.

Elderly people can make a positive contribution to the community by taking part in community services and volunteer work. Because senior citizens are not full-time employed, they are able to devote themselves to community and government projects after they are retired. For example, it is common to see old people participate in charity work to provide shelter and food for the underprivileged .

I wanted to prevent my retirement. Unfortunately, I had to go. Since retirement, all things go worse. At first the health and the lack of daily routines. The pain every day is horrible. Another thing is the money. 500€ less, every month. Vacation, I can forget it. But it is good, to see You sometimes and learn a little more.

Hi Bob, Hope you're doing well, by the way nobody wouldn't easily be able to guess your age by believing that you aren't your age. I'm myself 60 years young, and since the age of 55 my hair has become "poivre et sel" like your hair. Can we say "pepper and salt" in English or is there some other expression for that?
