My mom is an advanced hobbyist genealogist and while we have few notable distant relatives, Davy Crockett is one of my more famous and reasonably close relatives. We even got to meet with a historian at the Alamo once and see a private viewing of some of the personal belongings of his. It was very cool.

21:42 I never knew Fess Parker played Davey Crockett I just seen him play Daniel Boone on the INSP Network.. That's the first for me. Thank you for the Information. Great Video and interesting.My favorite videos are the ones when you have to get the big black book out.

I’m 21 and fess Parker’s rendition of Davy Crocket and Daniel Boone are some of my favorite movies/tv shows of all time the theme songs are so damn catchy

I've never seen either show. So both were played by the same actor? No wonder people get Davy and Daniel confused.

Great video! I loved the story and the whispering. 😊 One small historical correction: Andrew Jackson was not a Whig; he was the founder and first president of the Democratic Party. Davy Crockett was a friend of Jackson (at first) but was a member of the Whig Party, which opposed Jackson and his Indian and Banking policies.
