Some tips are that you could start by learning simplified Chinese with flash cards, as someone Chinese and learning Japanese myself it’s good to start with simplified

Another app that might be very helpful is HSK simple, all the vocab from all 6 levels are in there, i personally don't use it that often for when i'm studying level 4(hes yes i passed level 3 hehe) i mostly use the official HSK books and KZfaq to learn chinese.

Next month I'll start my freshman year at faculty of languages, I'll choose chinese as a major & English as a minor .. I'm so nervous and excited to take this step , please wish me luck :) Actually I'm preparing at the moment so I'm practicing writing some characters from hsk 1 and memorising some of the basic vocabulary , I'm literally taking baby steps , but I'm also having fun watching CDrama 😂🀄 do you have any recommendations for CDRAMA ?

@@thinthin-il3gg sure But my English is not good. My suggestion is that you can read some Chinese media to improve your reading ability. In fact, the spelling steps of Chinese characters in our country are not particularly strict and there are no spelling steps required in the HSK test. Moreover, many people’s stroke order is wrong. One can not say that it is wrong, one can only say that it is not standard, because there’s no right or wrong 汉字的结构很简单，横撇竖。哈哈😄

Hi Jazmine, I want to ask do you find it hard to write some complicated characters in just one square? Like do you have some additional piece of paper beside you to help you see how the character will look once you write it down and if it can fit in one square or?

I'm sure you already know this, but the chineasy flashcards use traditional characters, not simplified ones. This isn't as obvious in HSK1 since most characters are the same there, but don't forget to pay attention to the more complicated ones. "Horse" for example (which is the one you showed us) looks different in both versions.

You should be able to get them on amazon. I found them there as well, but decided against buying them cause I couldn't find a version with simplified characters.

I actually wonder if you do watch Chinese Drama while studying Chinese? I don't study Chinese cuz I'm both a English and Chinese Native speaker :) Also if you want to watch Chinese drama, I can recommend them to you :> cuz I've been sooooooo into Chinese drama lately like this whole yr LOL. Last time I used to watch Kdrama a lot but now hardly ever HAHA most of the time I just rewatch those dramas that I've watched before >< Even tho I'm studying Korean, I rarely watch Korean dramas >< other than survival show Girls Planet 999 :)
