Regarding your critique about wanting the book to be colorful instead of black and white, I have no doubt a ton of color would prove distracting. No doubt whatsoever. Lol. It would also make the book a little more expensive. Also, I am surprised you edited this and thought small white text on a mostly white background was fine. 😂 Also, another comment. The 1000 kanji book is not for advanced learners. There are more than 2000 kanji in common use. 2136 iirc.

Pity that Shirabe Jisho app isnt on Android..

A great tool that I’ve been using to supplement my language learning process is Immersive Translate. I use it to translate everything from webpages to documents, and even to generate subtitles for my Netflix and KZfaq, which has really helped me become immersed in the language. It’s been really helpful so far, and I’ve already learned a lot.
