This is a front, it is convenient for them to talk about Beyoncé but they all were silent in the face of George Floyd and Whie supremacy, God gave them a chance to pick a side and that they did. I watch each platform as they set in silence because they minister to white audiences. These people are fraud, I left the “church” after being admonished by the Holy Spirit come from out of her and be ye separate and touch not this unclean thing.

Filling my mind with worship music and podcasts only for more than 30 days now before watching this and it’s eye opening! That’s how I found you both…hunting down those who obviously love the Lord and can talk plainly about it all. Jackie is the first person to explain her repentance not knowing that was what it was at the time. That’s me!! I finally found someone to hit me on my level. Been in church my whole life, but finally I CARED. I swear I was listening to myself speak. Thank you both for what you do and who you are in Christ Jesus! ❤

Yooooo. I literally was traumatized reading that story about Lot, the angels, and his daughters when I was 11 years old. I started to read the Bible of my own volition and became so outraged that I didn’t pick it up again on my own until 10+ years later. It’s such a small part of this episode but hearing two people that I respect SO MUCH talk about how weird it was and how you couldn’t understand how he was still called righteous really vindicated 11 year old me. I also see the subtle rebuke, that we as a body should forsake these idols and let there be no room for excuse to compromise. I enjoyed this. I haven't listened to secular music in a few years now so that wasn't really an issue for me but I was directed to stop listening to Kev On Stage's podcasts and when I tell you I was truly HEART BROKEN! I literally mourned my breakup with KOSS content but after consistently ignoring him in my recommended feeds, God opened up so much biblical content for me. He introduced me to to new gospel artists and podcasts/ channels, I sit and read my Bible for hours at a time now. It hurt but the Father truly blessed my obedience. I encourage you all to do the challenge and allow God to teach you to guard your mind!

If you don't mind me asking.. What was the reason you ultimately made the decision to stop listening to KOSS podcasts? I've been feeling convicted about this same thing as well. His content has changed soooo much over the years.

@@mauriahs.benjamin8839 Hi! For me, nothing really indicates that he's kingdom minded. I really used to enjoy Here's the Thing but he & Angel are always on the side of the world on all topics and that says alot. Growing up in church really means nothing, you can know of God yet have an empty relationship with Him and that's the vibe I got from both of them. The only fruit I see is that Kev doesn't cuss, that's literally it tho. As God started to refine me, I realized that I needed to guard my mind and filter the content I consumed but I've been listening to Kev since Righteous & Ratchet tho so I was like for real God, not Kev 😆 but I had to let it go. I'm really trying to be a Bible believer/doer and I need content that feeds that, not encourage me to blend in with the world.

Thank you both for this! Thank you Jackie for the challenge. It's only day 1 just taking in the worship music on my lunch. It was like I was seeing everyone for real and it was urgent to cover all. Everyone I saw as I drove, I couldn't stop praying. And my heart hurts and celebrates at the same time that God Is Able to meet them right where they are. MY God!!!

Listening to this Pod today! And I’m so happy the door about what we allow to hear was opened! Music 🎵 it’s so dark in the world I’ve prayed for my kids and continue to do so. “Do not listen if it doesn’t edify you” it’s my line. Lyrics are so impactful. Thank you Holy Spirit for bringing that up!!

That part that you Pray before showing up to anything hits different! It's an intentional thing to embrace everything. I can't just show up, and like Jackie said, she prayed before showing up. We need Grace Daily, Hourly, and every Seconds. By praying, we access God's Grace! Thank you for speaking to that. God bless you

Yessssss omg yall are on it... and even more when you listen to those words in the song to sing! In the way you feel sing out and you'll really feel a shift even more because it's you singing directly to HIM. Thank you JESUS❤ Take heed to the lyrics because even there in gospel "some" the enemy will try to change even the slightest word in the song too shift things away from where you believe your praises are flowing too. Sing to using your spirit too!! AND PRAY PRAY PRAY. Honestly I've pulled away from secular music but it's so refreshing to know that your worship is for real when you feel things change. Thank you Jesus for your protection and covering over all your children across the world.. WE NEED YOU! ✨️ Thank yall for this episode 💓 @thebasementwithTimRoss @JackiePerry ❤

I have been meaning to listen to this podcast since I saw it on my feed and managed to listen to it today and it has been encouraging. As today I was just sitting during time with the Lord and I was wondering if what I have given up to be consecrated to God was in vain and as my thoughts progressed I remembered how much I have grown in the Lord and people are also testifying of it, I so appreciate the relationship I have with the Lord. And the joy of salvation is continuing to be my strength. This podcast is soo confirming that nothing is ever in vain with the Lord, that He will continue to do a good work as we sit at His feet seeking Him. I can also testify that listening to solely Gospel music and sermons during my remote working made the days go so well with a full day lived with hope and strength in the Lord. Thank you ya"ll for the life changing episode!

Phenomenal and Excellent interview!!!! I believe Tim interviewing Jackie was a divine connection and intended for what God intended it be used for. This was by far one of the best interviews I’ve witnessed on a podcast. Tim, your podcast was Gods divine way of delivering a vulnerable, honest, and transparency that lacks in the Body of Christ but driven by scripture and lead by the Holy Spirit. I appreciate your obedience! Jackie my my my your uncompromising appetite for the things of God blessed me in ways I’ll never be the same. It also convicted me as well. It resonated with me deeply. I appreciate the seeds you have sown in the lives of me and so many others. ❤
