I remember the video when you bit it on that jump. Your jumping has improved like crazy and yes it's just a matter of time before you conquer the others. It's pretty cool seeing you gain skills and confidence. Atb, Tony

Very well done vid! I can't wait to get back to practicing on some real jumps again. Had a good digger the past November with injury. I've only just been able to jump a bike again without pain. Again, well done.

Congrats on the progression. You make it look effortless now. What would you say were some of your breakthroughs in getting air so well?
@kfivemtb
@kfivemtb 3 жыл бұрын
Take your time learning don’t try to push it to fast or you’ll get frustrated, find a few small tables to practice on and just ride over them as many times as it takes and slowly start increasing your speed until comfortable, My biggest breakthrough was getting comfortable with SPEED, going fast enough to actually get a small amount of air and keep control of my bike. The right speed is key at first. My biggest issue in the beginning was going to slow and not committing. That’s when crashes happen. Once you get that little bit of air and you consistently keep control of your bike, you’ll be on your way🤙😃

soooo every one of those jumps are designed to kill you if you come up short. Even casing them is putting the rear axle deep. This is why I don't do gaps... (That and the shattered wrist on the motor cross bike gapping an S bend in a track.
@kfivemtb
@kfivemtb 3 жыл бұрын
There are consequences involved for sure. Sorry about your wrist! 🤙
@TheButlerNZ
@TheButlerNZ 3 жыл бұрын
@@kfivemtb I thought the wrist was sprained but when I woke one day a month later with it asleep and not in any odd position.. I finally went to A&E to be told.. there's a little chip off your ulna.. and the bottom of your radius is broken through diagonally, stepped out 1mm and theres some bits floating in your wrist... Are you in any pain? ... Meh ... (It recovered to about 98%... can't quite get a 90deg angle any more, just gives me an excuse not to do hand stands.... at 50+...)
